  • Samsung 850 EVO vs Kingston Hyper-x Savage

Hello guys,

My 128 GB SSD is kind of full, and i am thinking of upgrading it, which of those 2 products do you prefer?
Both are available on Pc and Parts (almost similar price range)

The Hyper-X, for an extra 10 $ offers a USB enclosure, a software for taking an image of the old drive (Acronis)...

Edit: After contacting PcAndParts, it appears they don't have the upgrade bundle for the 240GB that i am looking for, they have for the 480 GB (which is out of budget atm)

Thanks.
I'd go for the HyperX Savage, it's better than the EVO in almost all benchmarks, looks better, uses MLC NAND instead of the TLC NAND used in the EVO (MLC is more durable than TLC) and has a slightly better controller than the 250GB version of the EVO, Phison S10 and Samsung MGX respectively. The EVO has better software though, Magician and has RAPID which uses free memory as cache, RAPID improves the SSD's benchmark score by a wide margin but nothing noticeable in real life.
Thank you man, will do, just another question, do you think if i make an image using Acronis, will i face issues in windows activation,,, etc?

Thanks

I tried it once with windows 7 and it was fine.. i think if you do it on the same machine you will not have a problem
