Anybody interested in the $800 "smart watch"? I just discovered about it yesterday!
From what it looks like it is like a smartphone in your watch, basically. So good luck not looking at your watch like a jerk all the time.
My opinion is that the screen is nice, and there are a couple of things which are nice to have in a watch, but I think that I would be much more interesting if it was simpler (less apps, no sim) and cheaper.

There's a gold edition that's going to run you 15k US dollars. Keep in mind this is not one of those expensive watches designed to be passed on to your great grandchildren, but just a normal Apple product that will be replaced with a newer model next year.
Even if the watch was worth 50 dollars, I wouldn't buy it. What's the point of a watch with a battery life of two days?
But to each their own. Some people can't wait for it.

I really like the new ideas that it brings, such as the LCD touch and scroll control on a watch, and even some of the apps.
But just putting a smartphone into a watch, with all the downsides, low battery life, crazy prices, too much notifications.
It's just intellectual lazyness. Yet it seems to be apple's formula, of taking one product and re-factoring it in another format, they've done it already many times. I just think they've gone too far and too lazy on that last attempt. Yet they do bring new ideas and innovation. But I don't think it's going to be a success, and maybe 5 years from now apple will be complaining that everybody "stole" new features from the smart watch.
