Hi geeks,
I hope this topic serves as a future reference for those who are looking on the Web to find an apartment, but yet, don't know how or where to start.
The idea is that I want to use the Web as a search engine to try to find an apartment in Lebanon, and not go via any middle man that might charge high commission or unrealistic prices, and me, I have no clue how to validate the price, or say whether if it's a good one or a ripoff.
If anybody has been through this before and done this search and knows where to look and what are the good sites to use, please do post them here.
My source of confusion stems from the fact that I went to Google and typed "apartment for sale, Lebanon". Now I got so many sites I don't know about (most have unusable interfaces):
1- I have 0 clue which ones are credible and which ones are not
2- I'm not sure the information posted on them is current
3- It's not like there's a 'known' directory that everyone should use. (at least for me)
4- You get so many real estate and construction companies' sites.. the big mix is the annoying issue
5- The web interfaces are really bad. It doesn't look like there's a solid Lebanese apartments search engine one can use
