Hello!
I have a question about port forwarding .
I can't seem to be able to open the port that I'm trying to forward here's the process of how I'm setting up the port forwarding :

- add the ports to my firewall to the inbound and outbound connections, each port set twice for UDP and TCP
- add the ports to my router port forwarding option
- set the DMZ to my PC local host ip (my PC LAN ip)
- disable router firewall
- run a quick program that sends packets to my external ip to c if that specific set port is open or closed
- use open port checker

after i type the port that i set up i still get closed port.
can anyone HELP me!
Thanks!
P.S. my router is TP-LINK and I'm not double routered .
Sometimes you need to call your ISP. I'm with Cyberia, I was having issues port forwarding, then I called them and they moved me to the "gaming pool" which allowed me to port-forward perfectly.

You might want to give it a shot.

hey man i called up my ISP and I got a strange response .
They told me they don't even know what port forwarding is.
I'm completely screwed now aren't I?
Hello
remove all the ports you added to the port forwarding... and just set the DMZ to your PC/PS4/XBOX
I am with ogero and they block certain ports (port 80 for example) so if you are using a standard port(80,22 etc...), try using a non standard one.
Ok ill try some of these suggestions and update you as soon as possible.
did you test it from the same network???
elserge82 wrotedid you test it from the same network???
test what from the same network ?
test if the port is open within the LAN ?
like between devices?
Doom I've already had set a static ip ,i actually tried simple port forwarding but it didn't help since it only does what i was doing manually.
but thanks for the tip now I've got a useful tool.

user Im using ports 443,445 and 80.
previously my router was using port 80 so i set it at 8080 so now i could use it .
cause i need a web port .

Dex i did remove all ports lastly, and just set the DMZ to my PC local ip ,but still nothing.

the thing i question is how doesn't my ISP providers know what port forwarding is especially with this crappy so called internet we are being supplied with in this lovely country of ours . i smell something fishy.
are you on a public ip or a private one? if it is a private one and dmz doesn't work don't try anymore cause the ISP NAT needs to forward the ports to your specific ip too.
that's normal. You should try each hot line in leb (Alfa Touch Ogero Sodetel...) and you'll find that you are talking to stupid ppl that memorized their scripts. Your Question(technical word) was not found in their scripts:)

Can You post your current wan router IP?
and what ip is listed in whatismyproxy
or wimip
DNA and elserge82 ,this is the WAN configuration in my router status page:

MAC Address: 00-27-19-E1-FA-?
IP Address: 60.6.?.? Static IP
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 60.6.?.1
DNS Server: 60.6.?.1 , 0.0.0.0
lol are you in china by any chance?
please post your ip from whatismyip.com along with your WAN info. if they aren't the same then you are on a private ip, so what you are asking for will not work
DNA hahahahaha, my external ip and my routers WAN ip are completely different .
my external starts with 185... and my router with 60.... .
that means there's absolutely nothing to do but change my isp supplier ?

You can still call them and ask them for a public IP.
