Has anyone tried to ship a monitor from Korea? I am considering buying a 4k monitor from ebay that ships internationally from sellers located in korea. I have found some good monitors which includes the Samsung 28D590D for almost 600$. I have two question, one if anyone knows how to pay through paypal, and the experience of ordering from abroad regarding damaged goods or defective goods. Just one more thing I can get the Samsung 28D590D from amazon for 480$ and ship it through DHL for 100$ without paying taxes, but I am afraid of getting the monitor damaged.
Monitors from abroad
You are going to pay taxes if you'll be shipping through DHL. Unless you know someone "in" that may be the only exception. In-regards to warranty, you don't get any. Simply put, we don't have any official local service centers for any known electronic brands. And in the case their's a DOA you'll have to go through the process again that's on the assumption the buyer would agree to RMA worldwide.
Thank you . The dealer does grant a 1 year warranty and regarding the PayPal is there a reliable way to pay through PayPal ? And regarding taxes, you only pay taxes if the shipment is commercial. What if someone personally sent you an item. Does that also there will be taxes issued ?
You'll be paying taxes and shipping fees, I've ordered a lot of items from Amazon through borderlinx which partners with DHL for items delivery to Lebanon, And DHL always charged taxes(customs bill) and shipping fees(based on size).bogdan22 wroteThank you . Regarding paypal, it's not yet supported in Lebanon, meaning you won't be able to load credit into it from a Lebanese bank account/visa. I have never used it. You may find some middleman services although I'd advise you go with Amazon and get a US address from borderlinx.
I have bought a Qnix QX2710 1440p monitor from Korea.
It costs around 360$. Paid it with PayPal using a virtual credit card specifically Entropay.
The seller sent it with FedEx, and as i remember i paid 90$ to FedEx (tax, shipping, customs etc...)
And the monitor came with a defective PCB board.
It was working for the first 2-3 days, but then it would not display any signal.
The seller agreed to send me a new PCB board, when i got it, i opened the monitor and replaced the board myself, and its working till now.
Though i had to send the defective PCB board back to them.
Keep in mind i paid another fee of like 20,000LBP to FedEx when i received the new board.
And paid like 14,000LBP to send the defective one back to them using LibanPost.

Wow 90$, that's cheaper than what would DHL charge.AVOlio wroteI have bought a Qnix QX2710 1440p monitor from Korea.

Yea got it from Ebay.
Although if you are thinking of getting one also, do not get the True 10 SE model, as its not overclockable.
Get this model, and WoW the price is reduced to 300$.

Regarding the DHL I am not talking in any way about a forwarding service. But anyway I have done it before, and ordered some items with just paying shipping fees without any additional but never bought anything above 400$ so hence my question. Thank you though :D.Sup3r wroteYou'll be paying taxes and shipping fees, I've ordered a lot of items from Amazon through borderlinx which partners with DHL for items delivery to Lebanon, And DHL always charged taxes(customs bill) and shipping fees(based on size).bogdan22 wroteThank you . @bogdan22
Can you tell us how did you made that happen?
You have people in US? And the items that you bought, they sent it to you with DHL personally?
Even so, i think customs and VAT will still implement!
How did you do it?

Try it yourself, buy something insignificant for 10 $ and ship it like that and see for yourself.AVOlio wrote@bogdan22

When you said you never went above 400$, i thought you still were talking about 200-300$ value area.
In that case you would pay for customs and Vat.
Although out of curiosity, can you share us your experience?
What items you bought, and how much was the shipping?

My last shipment was some earphones, laptop fans , and some other electronics. Shipment took 7 days and didnt pay any extra chargers other than shipment fees.
