Hi!
My 10 months old 3D Smart TV from Samsung got a problem, the lower part of the screen is darker like if there was a cloud.
Tried shutting down and take out the power socket for 1 hour but nothing changed!
Tried different video sources, the same!
It's very apparent using one color background and white background like the Smart Web browser.
So 99% it's a hardware fault.
Now my questions:
-Did you ever put a TV to be repaired at CTC? How many days does it take to be repaired?
-If they couldn't repair it because the faulty part is not available or too pricey for them, they give you a brand new TV from their catalog? In that particular case would it be better to give it to Abed Tahan instead of CTC, so in case the TV has to be swapped I get the choice of another brand?
I visited the CTC website and in the 40'' size they have models that have lower specs than mine, I have to go into the 48'' size to get the same specs (4 HDMI,3 USB,Internet WIFI), I don't care anymore for the 3D, I barely used it for movies and games are limited to 720p

I can share my experience about CTC, but its not about a TV or related to Abed Tahan.
Earlier this year I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Carrefour with CTC warranty for my fiance, a month later some problems started to occur, people cant hear her when she speaks (Microphone issue), the phone is overheating and batter is draining fast, we took it back to Carrefour (as we bought it from them), customer service lady filled a report about the faults, I asked her how much time it usually takes, she said it shouldnt take long, CTC representative visits on daily basis and they take faulty parts to workshop.
Anyway, around 5 days later they called me back and said the phone was repaired, I picked it up, they gave me a report about what the technician have done with it (hand written), they replaced the battery and the microphone, phone is working like a charm ever since.
I was satisfied with this kind of service from CTC (And carrefour as well).

I hope they will renew the warranty to 12 new months when fixed, these new samsung TVs are having hardware faults easily

Wow service is quick!
They told me to call back in 2 days, I called them 1 hour after I left because they did a mistake in the description with red instead of black, the guy told me that anyway my TV is ready to be taken. I asked him what was the defect and he told me the screen was completely changed, dunno if he was talking about the whole TV or the LED slab!
Yella just have to finish lunch and go see at CTC

Ok they changed the LED panel as well as the whole face, I did a test at home with youtube color test, the problem is gone but there is a very slight grey tint on the left now, it's nowhere affecting the picture like before so I don't know if I return it again. I think it was badly installed (too straighten up).
He told me that this problem is due to bad electricity, so I added an electric stabilizer on my anti-thunder electric multiprises, the electricity coming to my TV must be 100% clean now

Abed El Tahhan is terrible to say the least; most of my electrical equipments are bought from there and every time anything malfunctions their first reason is "Bad electricity" despite my entire house stabilised. I've had fridge, dryer, television and surround sound fails in the past 3 years.
Good luck.
