Die_Kapitan Thought I'd share this with you guys, the R9 390X has been officially announced by AMD, it was used to run demoes at GDC. http://wccftech.com/amd-reveals-radeon-r9-390x-gdc-wip/ http://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-radeon-r9-oculus-rift,27298.html
haidcar it was officially confirmed, announcement however is couple months later at computex. It will be interesting how it compares to the just announced Titan X from Nvidia, that they only revealed that the GM200 has 8b transistors and 12GB GDDR5. The R9 390X, will most likely use HBM, which is Wide IO implementation, however limited to 4GB, the card might have the bandwidth and compute power for 4k, however that 4GB might drag the card down a bit.
Die_Kapitan 4096-bit memory interface, 640 GB/s memory bandwidth and compute performance of nearly 8.2 TFLOPS.
tech-guru wow! AMD's new GPU 4096bit wide IO GTX Titan X 384bit wide XB1's GPU 1280bit wide Ps4's GPU 256bit wide It seems that AMD wil,l have a technological leap forward over Nvidia this year by implementing s stacked HBM which Nvidia will take from AMD (positive competition) and will implement it is upcoming series :) ; Let us wait to see actual performance benchmarks between the Titan X and R9 380x
