Hi,
I want to use DD-WRT custom's firmware and I saw on their website a list of compatible routers but which one do you advise me to buy?
(from Lebanon (where?) or from Amazon)
And should I buy a modem with it or my TP-LINK TD-W8951ND can do the work?
Thanks.

I have no real experience with DD-WRT, but with OpenWRT I played a little here and there with TP-LINK TL-WR841N ver: 8.4
You can play a lot with them, like adding serial connections, usb connections, add TFTP feature...
I would say buy a TP-link routeer that is compatible with both DD and Open WRT and give OpenWRT a try ;)

@m_zeid Thanks, my brother can give me his linksys E1200 router that he isn't using and that is compatible with DD-WRT but that wasn't listed on open-dwrt.. And I also read that dd-wrt is more used and open-dwrt is for more advanced users, but maybe with appropriate tutorials everything is easy..
And I think you can with both limit a certain device's download speed no? I've seen some tutorials, I hope they aren't that hard.
