Guys, I just happen to have the opportunity to buy police radar detectors. But before buying one I just want to make sure that they can detect anything in Lebanon, so I need to know a bit more about the technology used. I guess this information is not public but maybe someone knows.
Even if they measure from the back, and if it would not help me escape speed traps, I'm still interested and sounds like it could be fun, and maybe I can pinpoint some radars. Being able to avoid speed traps is a secondary goal.
And regarding the license plate trick, I don't think it will work. Not reliably anyway.
Nemesis-301 wroteit would be good if we knew the speed limit, is it 80? 100? 120?
I've heard different stories. Of course there is the displayed speed limits, on panels, as long as you're below that you should be OK.
Someone told me they are not making fines for cars under 100 km/h in any case. It sounds plausible but I can't guarantee it.
There is also a new law where you risk prison when you're more than 60 km/h (or was it 80? or was it a speed like 160?) above the limit.
