Jessica wroteI know it's crazy expensive but for living Id be staying at my best friend's house with her mum and brother so that's not a problem! And for the rest, I can deal with it haha :) really??? i want to stay there and work theree! How is it going? And I would love to meet up haha :)
You're going to stay with her all the time? Also London is really big. It is possible that you would be at like 1 hour or more from your college. Anyway you will see all that when you visit.
It is expensive but manageable. If you want to rent a place to stay, and with food and all, I'm afraid that it is like minimum $1000 monthly budget - but probably even more like $1500 or $2000 if you want to have your own room in a convenient location and live a little comfortable like have OK food and go out sometimes.
I don't want to discourage you though. I'm sure it will work itself out.
It is going so-so. At the beginning it's nice but after a while you get tired of paying twice what you pay in Lebanon for something which is not so good. But not everything is like this. There is also a nice choice and sometimes really nice things that you cannot even find in Lebanon. You will also surely miss the weather and the general mood of Lebanon and of Mediterranean countries - the mood is very different here in the North. Some things really suck here. But there is work (but not that easy to find, really!), and there are things to do, and it's not such a bad city.
Social life is OK too, you get to meet some people, from different countries. There are many Lebanese as well. Brits are friendly and cheerful, but sometimes distant.
Sure we can meet. Would be my pleasure.
