Hello,

I am ordering PC parts from Amazon, creating a Gaming PC Build from scratch.

Here are the current things I picked:

Motherboard: ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME, Extended ATX x99 Motherboard , LGA 2011-V3 Socket, DDR4 3300Mhz+(OC) $469.99

GPU: EVGA GTX980 SC ACX 2.0 4 GB GDDR5 $554.99

RAM: Crucial 32GB Kit (8GBx4) DDR4 2133 MT/s (PC4-17000) CL15 DR x8 Unbuffered DIMM 288-Pin $390.77

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W Desktop Processor BX80648I75820K $389.47

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 80PLUS Platinum Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Active PFC 1000W Power Supply (220-P2-1000-XR) $191.99

Mouse: Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tunable Gaming Mouse with Fully Customizable Surface, Weight and Balance Tuning (910-004074) $69.99

Keyboard: Corsair Gaming K70 RGB LED Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - Cherry MX Red (CH-9000068-NA) $208.95

I'm still missing the water cooling since I haven't picked a case yet. (I'm getting the case, HDD (already have an SSD) and monitor from here)
Might as well get a nice sound-proof headset from Amazon.

Any ideas what to change, add or just remove? Price is not a big issue.

Thanks in advance, hope I get a quick reply.
nzxt h440 cases are amazing if you want to order one from abroad
You'll save a lot if you go with a Silent Pro 1300W bought from here. It's just as good and will cost much cheaper (But it's 80Plus Gold). But has warranty, which you want.

For water-cooling, think EK blocks, as for rad setup, it really depends on the case.

Would go too crazy with RAM either, very very few people need more than 8GB. I have 8 in my system, and I rtaun VMs, Chrome with at least 30 tabs open, steam, games open in the background, and compress/decompress stuff alot. Including building Windows Image Files with Windows OPK. I don't pass 6gigs.

Besides, RAM prices will come down soon (Hopefully, this summer)

Make sure you choose your mouse wisely, I got a Steelseries KANA, and I thought it would be perfect for my hand. It wasn't.

Everything else seems honky-dory
Instead of 32GB ram unbuffered get 8 or max 16 GB buffered or registered with lower CAS
Just a small Question your living right now in Lebanon ?

Okay awesome, thank you, just a few questions.

Silent Pro is not listed on pcandparts, any ideas where I can find one? And how much will it cost?
Would 2x8GB DDR4 do the trick?
By water cooling, I meant a CPU cooler, but the whole system. If you know any good case that would go well alongside a CPU cooler I'd greatly appreciate that.

About the mouse, I really haven't tried it, but checked out the reviews, looks solid. (the keyboard is definitely great though)
Do you think I forgot anything? I am going to proceed to order soon, it would be nice advice to tell me what I should add so the shipping will all come together.

Yes.

About the Buffered RAM, may I ask what's the difference?
Just read an article, it says that I need to avoid buffered RAM for a Gaming PC...?
Johnaudi wrote Silent Pro is not listed on pcandparts, any ideas where I can find one? And how much will it cost?
I guess they're sold out. Get the one you originally were intended to buy, it's very high end.
Johnaudi wroteWould 2x8GB DDR4 do the trick?
It's more than enough, so yes.

Storm Tooper/Striker
There are many more options.

Checking reviews for mice is completely useless. It needs to fit your hand for you to be satisfied.

No, I don't think so. Make sure you take lots of HQ pics and post them in the Post your rig topic :D
The whole idea is great it will be an amazing rig, just keep us updated on shipping and customs status.
Peripheral-wise, which headset do you think I should get for such a build? I'm thinking about the Noise-Cancelling Bose headset.
Any ideas?

Is the motherboard an overkill? Should I go with the MSI X99S Gaming 7?

Also added 15g of Thermal Paste to the cart, comes with a cloth for like 17$.

Total so far is $2,092.36 (on Amazon), I have a Prime account so it will take 2 days to ship to my borderlinx address.
Any motherboard is overkill. Unless you overclock alot, don't get the ROG board.
Those who need to utilize more than 4GB of memory in a system, registered memory should be an absolute consideration.
Be careful though, as far as i know items over 2000 dollars apply for heavy customs. Customs are shitty people.

Any idea how high it can get?

As high as Bob Marley.

Why not make them 2 separate Borderlinx shipments?

If the customs are +- $250 it's fine, but would sending two shipments do anything concerning customs?
By the way I just ordered a Surface 2 tablet for my sister, it contains Li-Ion battery but I have no idea how many cells it contains to check if it's legible for shipping, any ideas where can I check that?
Johnaudi wroteIs the motherboard an overkill? Should I go with the MSI X99S Gaming 7?
Yes it is overkill. And going with an MSI X99S Gaming 9 ACK is a more sensible choice as it comes with USB 3.1 but you won't be able to use the formidable ASUS UEFI.

As for the case, get the Corsair 780T, the 750D, the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe or the NZXT Phantom 820. If you prefer mid-towers, the NZXT H440 or the Phanteks Enthoo Pro. There's also the Corsair Air 540.

Also your choice of mouse is good but beware for if you have a big hand or use claw grip, you won't be able to use all buttons of the mouse.

For the Headphones get an Audio Technica ATH-M50X and a Blue Yeti microphone, way better than any gaming headset on the market.
This is a part from an email i got from DHL/Borderlinx: "If the total invoice value is below 1000 USD (require no approval from any ministry) the DHL clearance charges are 11,000 L.L. , 10% V.A.T. from the invoice value and a specific % for customs.

If the total invoice value is above 1000 USD (or require an approval from any ministry) a formal clearance will occur and the Delivery order (70,000 L.L.), DHL clearance charges (115,000L.L. or 322,500 L.L. depending on the value of the items) , 10% V.A.T. from the invoice value and a specific % for customs. (Medicine for example need approval from the ministry of health, whether the value is 1$ or 1000$, It is subject to formal clearance i.e. a delivery order is issued and a broker should be appointed)

Check with them again.
Is this shipping calculator accurate with the customs?

Looks like I'll be splitting shipments, would ship the CPU with the motherboard, the GPU with the PSU, and all the other parts together. Thanks for the tip =]
Concerning Your Build ; Performance Wise It will matches the one posted by PC & Parts:

http://www.pcandparts.com/basesys.htm by USD 2505 + TVA = USD 2755.5 (including a monitor , case, SSD , and HD) -

My Recommendations:

- Get this build from here (local market) to avoid the headache of customs , shipment , and RMA
- Warranty , Warranty , Warranty Domestic at least for the 1st year is a priority
-
