G3 is the best, but battery life isn't something to brag about due to the 1440P screen.
If your wife only uses Whatsapp and average app, any of those would be fine.

Get the G3. It's so much cheaper than I expected and it's worlds faster than any of the two choices. You also have the S5 as an option.
The A5 will lag. My Xperia Z from Jan 2013 has a faster CPU than that thing.
