Greetings all,
A few days ago my 750GB HDD in my Lenovo laptop failed, kept it on sleep for a long time while taking it outside, and when I got back and tried to turn on the laptop I got a few click sounds("click of death" I suppose?) so I bought a new 1TB harddrive and used recovery disks to bring the laptop back to normal
moving on, I decided to try to see if I can recover any data from the failed drive, so I bought a sata to usb enclosure, hooked it up and my laptop, and the surprising part is that there is no clicking sounds now and the drive seems to read, however, this is how the drive looks like in my computer and disk management now:
I don't know why it's showing me the main part of the drive(where all my data was in) as a OEM parititon, and I'm not even sure what this means exactly, when I right click on that part I only get "help" as a clickable option.
So my question is, based on what I've said and posted, do you think it's possible to recovery any of the data, or is all lost? and if a recovery is possible what program/method should I use?
Thank you,
Raficoo.
