i am planning to upgrade my motherboard and cpu (gpu soon to be msi gtx970 gaming), this motherboard support lga1150 cpus, do i wait for ddr4 rams to be available and for skylake? or just go for broadwell?

What is your current setup? if it's something better than a sandy bridge i5, then you don't need an upgrade. DDR3 vs DDR4 has no difference in gaming.

If you have either an LGA 1366 CPU, a Sandy or Ivy Bridge i5 or i7, any Haswell (apart from Celerons of course) or any AMD AM3+ CPU, wait for Skylake or in case of anything above Haswell i5 K for Cannonlake. As a rule of thumb I recommend upgrading at every tick (new architecture), tocks (die shrinks) are not worth it.

It's fine for now.
I would upgrade when there's a drastic performance upgrade, like it was with the first gen i series vs the second. Right now, lots of people are still using 2400, 2500 on dual 970s and they run fine.
Upgrade only for the sake of it. You wouldn't gain much. (Considering you'll be spending $400+ )

yeah i will wait for skylake
