thank you for your reply, Public or Real IP address is a known and unique IP address given to your DSL modem when connected, and in other words, your Modem is in the front line to the World (Internet), but in my case, i'm with cable guy who give us Private IPs, So my question is, is there any chance to play PS3 online with private IP ??Johnaudi wroteNot sure what you mean, but you do not need any kind of setup to be able to play online (except Port Forwarding in some cases, you can either do it yourself or contact your ISP)
Oh I think it's called a "Static Real Address", no you do not have to own one, unless you host your own server, which on PS3 doesn't work that way. (you can play online with a private IP yes, but you need to port forward, unless you have UPnP)amkahal wrotethank you for your reply, Public or Real IP address is a known and unique IP address given to your DSL modem when connected, and in other words, your Modem is in the front line to the World (Internet), but in my case, i'm with cable guy who give us Private IPs, So my question is, is there any chance to play PS3 online with private IP ??Johnaudi wroteNot sure what you mean, but you do not need any kind of setup to be able to play online (except Port Forwarding in some cases, you can either do it yourself or contact your ISP)
