I am currently building a small compact micro-ATX gaming build that can sit comfortably at my desk. These are the specs I have so far:

Haswell 3.20 GHz - i5-4460 $190

Kingston HyperX Fury White 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 $77

Asus B85M-G(is it good enough?) $119

Silverstone PS08B Micro ATX Case $55 (A micro-ATX case I found so far from pcandparts, I'm very open to suggestions though, is there better ones?)

Thermaltake Smart SE SPS-530M 530W PSU $57 MODULAR PSU. I found no trusted reviews on this unit but I found a lot of good reviews/feedback around the interwebs. I found it a bit sketchy, what do you guys think?

And the star of the show...
GTX 970. I still don't know which brand I'm getting, it all depends if pcandparts get it soon and at a reasonable price(in the case they do, it's the gonna be the MSI). Otherwise I will be ordering it online with a couple of friends, so I'll have a bit more freedom in selecting the brand(so most probably getting the Gigabyte G1 in that case. But even though I'm building a micro-ATX build I want to fit in a full sized GTX 970.

I am building the rig at a tight budget so I'm trying to save up as much money as I can without sacrificing reliability/performance.

I was also thinking of replacing the PSU and case above as a temporary solution for next few months with a Cooler Master Elite 350 RC-350 Case RC-350-KKR500-GP w/ RS-500-PSAR-I3 500W PSU until I can save up for an NCASE M1 and an EVGA 500W 80PLUS which I can order online together.

I prefer buying items here locally.

Thank you guys in advance for your time and feedback!
I always wanted to configure an MATX rig.

The specs are great. Leave the PSU. The Smart SE is a better cheaper choice. As for the board. Motherboards don't effect any performance, so just get what is cheap.
So what do you think of the case? I have never seen a micro-ATX case before so I have no idea what I should expect for quality.

Also as for the PSU the EVGA 500W 80PLUS is highly praised online and around the same price as the Smart SE. So I'm curious if I can use the Cooler Master Elite 350 RC-350 Case RC-350-KKR500-GP w/ RS-500-PSAR-I3 500W PSU as a temporary solution until I can get my hands on the superior NCASE M1 and EVGA PSU
The EVGA PSU will cost double than what it actually costs since it's heavy, meaning more shipping charges. It's recommended to buy everything from here if prices are similar, because of warranty.

Sizes of cases have nothing to do with quality. MATX cases are just smaller. This makes you have limited choices in terms of hardware, and the system will run a bit hotter than a regular Tower or Full ATX case. Due to the lack of aitflow space. A single 970 would run fine though.

The Elite 350 is a very old case with cheap plastic. It's also a full ATX case. The case is actually a very awesome value since it comes with a decent PSU.
I meant I haven't seen an MATX case before, let alone any of the ones on sale on pcandparts so I have no idea what to expect in terms of build quality for the options I have on the website.

And I am aware it's a full ATX case but it would be a temporary case until I can order the NCASE M1(which is very hard to get and beyond my budget). What I was thinking was that I get the Elite 350 IF the PSU included can handle the GTX 970 for a few months until I can order a proper good quality MATX case along side the PSU. Otherwise do you recommend I buy a Cougar Spike(or MG100) MATX with the Thermaltake Smart SE SPS-530M both from PC and parts and just call it a day?
I have 0 experience with Cougar products. I heard they're bad with power supplies. Have no idea about cases. However the Spike has 5/5 rating on Newegg. So I guess it's pretty good.
The Thermaltake psu can handle your rig with ease

It's not about handling. It's about quality.
AvoK95 wroteI heard they're bad with power supplies.
Cougar PSUs are made by HEC so they're not that bad.

The reputable PSU brands are:
-Super Flower
-Seasonic
-EVGA (rebranded Super Flowers)
-Antec (rebranded Seasonics (HCG,HCG M and Edge series) and Delta Electronics (HCG Platinum and HCG Platinum Grid Series)
-LDLC (rebranded Seasonics)
-Rosewill (rebranded ATNG and Sirtec; stick to their new stuff, their past PSUs were Diablotek-ish)
-Sapphire (rebranded Enermax; all of the Sapphire PSUs are nowadays discontinued)
-XFX (rebranded Seasonics; my favorite brand of PSUs)
I've seen several blown up during reviews.
Jonnyguru gave the Cougar CMX v3 an 8 out of 10.

Thank you all! I ended up going for specs similar to tech guru's. I still have the PSU to pick, what's the best PSU between 500-600Watts I can find in Lebanon? All the good ones at pcandparts are out of stock.
The Smart SE is pretty good. Get that
Out of stock everywhere.
Antec HCG-620, bit more expensive. But way better.
No be careful with that PSU. There's an HCG-620M and an HCG-620, you might think that the difference is that one is modular, one is not, but that's not the case. The HCG-620 has so many cases of DOAs, extremely short lifespan, and reports of terrible quality. In fact Antec dropped this PSU and it's not even on their site anymore. The HCG-620M seems to be good though from what I heard, but again it's not available in stock.

I see. I'll check if I can get my hands on a PSU tomorrow. Will let you know.
