It's just a giveaway. It usually costs around $100 a year, and you'll have free 3 year subscription for free (You save $300).
The license for the code will give you protection for 6 months, not three years.
In the website, where you enter your email, it says 3 years on the right.

Can you confirm it being 6 months?
i downloaded it and now operating it .. it is 6 months for free and if you buy one year you get 3 years subscription instead (1 year paid plus 2 years free).

What? Everyone knows it's MSE + MBAM.
MSE and AVG have the same detection rates. I use MSE on PCs with genuine Windows, otherwise I use AVG. I've been using it since 2007.

Ah, yes, I forgot. It only works with genuine copies. Have you ever tried Avira? It was what I used before MSE was released.
I've used Avira and Avast. They both seem very good. However, AVG and MSE seem to be more familiar to my clients and myself, so I just use that. That way if anyone needs any help with them, I can quickly assist them.
People are confirming that downloading a 30 day English trial of the software and using the German key (which they send you) will make you have 180 days.
