hey, just wondering if 36-40 celsius temp on idle is good and if 70 on 100% load for 3minutes is good

It's very normal.

Your idles are great but your max could be cooler. You're still within the safe limit. I think your CPU starts to throttle at about 80-82.

According to intel ark the i5-2400 processor has a TCase value of 72.6°C; anything lower than the Tcase will be normal temperature of the processor in normal use like watching movies, browsing the internet , office, etc.
When the processor is being use at 100%, the temperature will go beyond the Tcase. It can perfectly reach 80 to 85°Celsius and the processor will be ok as your cooling system should contain it.
If the temperature reaches 95 degrees or more, that is consider overheating.

I've had the i5 2500 for a couple of years now and my load temps are slightly higher then yours, so yes you are safe.
