in last week I had problem with my desktop .
A random shutdown and reboot which is an error I faced before in old rigs.
Its a RAM failure definitely so I bought new 8Giga Kingston RAMs and replace my old ones.
But still facing same problem , I searched the internet and I found the FIX which is Updating the BIOS.
I updated the BIOS and everything is working smooth except BF4.
Now facing FPS drops on ULTRA or Low setting (the same drop)
Do anyone knows the solution ?!
Only BF4 or all origin games?
Try other origin games and figure it out.
If it's the same with all origin game, then you have to disable origin overlay in game.
Please tell us whats ur complete rig and specially the power supply and GPU =D
@AVOlio, Sadly I have only BF4 in origin
@makhoder my rig:
AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
AMD Radeon R9 Gamer Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card
Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
But i am assuming you tried to turn off origin ingame overlay right?

In that case im afraid about that power supply, I assume by the 80+, it is a CX600 ? correct?
Also you have a power hungry gpu R9 290, can you check the gpu usage and your voltages when fps drops happen ?
Sudden reboot in games can be either Power supply or defect in GPU, are you OC?
Change of GPU / PSU are recommended in such cases
Guys thanks for the reply
I want to note that I had played BF4 before problem for 100 Hour and it was Perfect;
Not Overclocked;
There is no defect in GPU :)
AVOlio wroteBut i am assuming you tried to turn off origin ingame overlay right?
BF4 now needs an update to FINAL STAND which is 6gb so I'll had wait to the end of the month to download it :( to test
I'd bet your CPU is overheating. Could also be some other part of your PC.
You RAM, etc were probably working just well.

Your new RAM is probably just slower than the old one. You may be able to tweak it a little in the Bios, but nowadays that's often useless.

Try putting back the old RAM now that you've updated the BIOS. You're right, it might've been the BIOS thing.
Test RAM with MemTest86+
Uninstall your graphics drivers with DDU inside safe mode and then re-download and install the latest AMD Catalist drivers.
If you're getting a BSOD, download BlueScreenView and tell us your error codes, so that we can assist you further.

If your RAM passes 1 pass at MemTest and you haven't faced any BSODs, then nothing is wrong with your system. It's just a stupid BF4 bug. My 7970 faces FPS drops in the main menu. AMD cards are known for having issues with BF4 and fixes are being pushed in updates.
1- Check the temps of the CPU/GPU while 100% loaded (use prime95 for the CPU, 3DMark for GPU)

2- Downclock your card (GPU/MEM) to the lowest possible clocks to remove some of the load on the PSU, if that fixes the problem then you need a new PSU
I got BSOD earlier this day so I downloaded BlueScreenView

and this is the error code:

Thanks for the reply , But I Think the problem is more than cpu/gpu heat
It's your AMD Driver. Download DDU, clean the drivers and reinstall it.
Okay I'll Try & Reply
Thanks Avo
AvoK95 wroteIt's your AMD Driver. Download DDU, clean the drivers and reinstall it..
I uninstall the AMD drivers successfully via DDU in safe mode this step was perfect
then Downloaded the last amd catalyst+driver from Here
I choose it carefully my OS is win8.1 64bit
but the problem occurs when lunching setup.exe
It gives the error ( This app can't run on your pc , To find a version for your pc , check the software publisher )
GOT STUCKED
Run the setup as admin and do mind that you're suppose to install it on a normal boot and not safemode, because that wouldn't work.
