MrElie
Hey guys.
So i just bought today the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from Virgin. Who is playing it? Do you think it's a nice game?
Few facts:
* Game takes 77 GB from your HDD/SSD
* It's the first Call of Duty that have it's own Game Engine and not taken from another game
* Graphics are extremely amazing
* Said to be best Call of Duty released
So share your thoughts guys and let's play online sometime.

Do you need a GTX 970 or it can run on a 650ti boost?
MrElie
it says minimum requirement is the 760ti 4GDDR5
You can still run it on a decent 2GDDR5 with enough cooling and a bit of overclocking
Haven't tested it myself to be honest but the requirements aren't that high
It's worth a shot !

Damn I will have low fps then till I get the 970, no problem, I will finish the game twice :)

Recommended settings are always overstated my a good margin you should be fine.

I'm wiping my SSD's which will take 2 days add 2 days for OS and other stuff installed and bang I'll buy it thru steam and all dlcs which is better I think. Anyway what's your first impressions regarding servers gameplay cheaters etc.. I'm extremely excited for this game!!!
Die_Kapitan
It will never be the best CoD ever, the best CoD is CoD 2
MrElie
I been playing cod4 for about 4 years now and i think ut's the best cod ever made. I also have one of the biggest communities in the world.

The AW is the best cod yet released and there are no cheaters yet.
Also I wouldn't recommend buying with steam unless you are comfortable with downloading 77 GB which might take you let's say a month in Lebanon? hehe

If you have a 2 mbps connection it'll take you approximately 3 and a half days

You are right. I was just being sarcastic about that. Well I am still installing it from the DVD's and apparently there is a 2 GB update patch to be downloaded from Steam. Guess i wont enjoy playing it today.
I'll keep you guys updated how it goes in the morning.
I saw ever review, every gameplay video released and I just am in love with this game.

Better drive 10mins to Tony or Rony DVD shop and pay 10000LL for 5 DVDs ;)
MrElie
I don't think it will work like this either. Because the CD installs based on steam activation. Just buy the freaking game ! :P

it will work

It's working!
I strongly recommend updating the Geforce driver to the newest 344.60.
Before updating my GTX 650Ti Boost could just handle medium settings and it got some cuts, but after the update...WOW! even with everything on Extra it's flawless!!! I even don't know if I should get a 970 or not when I saw that :)

The new driver is especially for this game , nvidia always does this for maximum optimization and it's awesome!

Do you think a 750Ti would run it as high without having it to be OC?
vegetaleb
I doubt it, my 650ti boost is the OC version and I get about 45 to 60 FPS but I didn't activate the new option like texture cache and super sampling for AA, with yours you will get 35 to 45 FPS with the same settings.
I am not impressed by the graphics of this game by the way, BF4 still looks better and I am not talking about the DSR 2K...though the gameplay is better than with Ghost
vegetaleb
So SuperSampling is an included DSR thingy inside the game?
tech-guru
Graphics are really awesome , a great leap compared to the previous call of duty games. Super Sampling comes at tremendous performance differentials m basically super-sampling is like DSR , I think super sampling 2x or 4x is the safe side above figures requires more VRAM for the MSI GTX 970 Gaming OC 2xSS works fine with no shuttering; I am playing on 1440p with super sampling of 2x and anti-aliasing of 2x SMAA with Ultra Graphics and Horizon Based Ambient Occlusion (HBAO+) which is Nvidia Exclusive , FPS from 35 - 60.
Note:
Also if you want faster load times, turn of the caches. That said, in game you could get a few more stutters. Pre-load it all and the game load time will be hefty, but the game-play is more smooth on My SSD I do not have any major big load times when Pre-load is enabled but I am truing them some times since they cause some textures to look muddy and blurry.
Still to Me Crysis 3 is still the best looking game and put graphic cards on their knees ; waiting to try Assassin Creed Unity ,Far Cry 4 , and GTA 5 since their recommended specifications are relatively high. :)
vegetaleb
It's not because a game is very demanding in GPU power that it will look better, take Evil Within for exemple, it's doesn't have WoW graphics but as I saw even with a GTX 970 using it with 4K DSR will make it very slow while it's not the case with Advanced Warfare which is better looking game.
Loved the Greek streets in AW btw, way better than previous chapters in this game.
About texture quality, many gamers websites recommend to decrease the sharpness on Led TVs to 10 and even lower, but I noticed that the more I decrease it the blurrier the textures are, now playing with sharpness at 50 and every single detail is here, perhaps games heavily detailed like BF 4 and Call of Duty Ghost-AW are better with high sharpness and non-wow games need low sharpness to hide the imperfections...
