Get the elite 350 and the MSI H97 PC MATE, get more RAM and an i7. Adobe programs just love RAM. Whats your budget specifically? I could whip up something better

Let's say around 900~1000 $ and I need it as soon as it can. Can you please PM me your suggestion or post it on the forum?
Thank you in advance.

Put at least 16 GB Ram in Dual Channel - Kingston (8 by 8 Dual Channel) for about USD 190 ; you need to increase your budget for 1300USD Minimum get an I7 4970 (8 threads / 4 Cores) and SSD - the system performance overall will increase and programs loading ; Also lower your Mother-bored specs to Asus Z97 K since you will not SLI (I prefer the Z on the H) ; If you are interested to build for you a system kindly contact me.

3.4 GHz - i7-3770 8M/LGA1155
2x 8GB Kingston Hyper X RAM
1TB HDD
120GB Intel 520 SSD
AsRock H61 Motherboard (Compromises)
MSI GTX750Ti
BitFenix Merc Alpha
Thermaltake 530W Smart SE PSU
DVDRW
Total comes to exactly $1000 after taxes.
Yes it's 3rd gen, it's still faster than any 4th gen system you can build for that money.
What I would recommend you do is put a bit more money on a better motherboard MSI H97 GUARD-PRO (And obviously swap the CPU for a 4790)

Go with 32GB ram, 2x ssds in raid 0 (setup daily backup on a slow 4TB hdd), and go with gtx770
We have around 300+ graphic designers at work and these specs handle even the biggest eps files they've got (large photoshop format)
Make sure to use the latest Adobe collection: Adobe CC

If that costs $1000, I'll take 2!

Ok I do not mean to hijack this thread but since we're on the topic I thought I'd ask here.
Anyway, I'm looking for a laptop that serves three purposes if possible:
1. Personal daily usage for browsing, watching videos, listening to music...etc
2. Post production of pictures shot by my DSLR. I will be mainly using Adobe Photoshop CC to do that. (*)
3. Some occasional lightweight gaming. Nothing too fancy. I just want to install games from a few years back (ex: StarCraft II) to play when I'm bored and have nothing better to do.
My budget is somewhere in the $1200 - $1500 range. I was thinking of buying a MacBook Pro but that's way too expensive, so I'll have to give up on the slick look for performance benefits.
(*) I currently have a Sony Vaio with an i3 CPU and 4GB RAM. It almost dies every time I try to use Photoshop, which is what got me thinking of buying a new laptop in the first place.

I5 with a GT740/840 would be great for you and fits your budget, though you can afford an i7 if you want.
Lenovo IdeaPad Z510
Intel Core i5-4200M
6GB Ram
1TB SSHD+8GB SSD
Nvidia GT740 2GB Dedicated
DOS
$689.00+VAT is a good choice from PCandParts.

This looks good but I guess I'd better go for an i7 since I won't be changing it for the next few years. Any other suggestions?

@avok, @kassem
i dislike hp laptops, they overoverheat.
if you want a non-mac, i recommend a lenovo!
just a side-note to kassem, a 1500 $ budget is very high to your needs, simple gaming and browsing and photo editing ...
Kassem
Yes, HP is a no for me too. I've had bad experiences with HP overheating! I also prefer Lenovo, and Toshiba is probably okay too. As for the budget, well I am willing to pay that price only if I have to. But if I can get one under $1000 then I'd be a very happy man :)

Brands don't matter. No matter how crappy or good the laptop is, it won't last more than 5 years. (Unless it's a pro grade laptop that is)
NuclearVision
@avok indeed, but one'd rather have a good 5 years of his laptop over a water boiling laptop.
i must say however, those hp specs/price ratio are marvelous.

New generation HPs don't heat up as much as those older ones. In fact, some people are saying that they're running pretty cool. You should check a review of the model with the same specs regardless, to find out about the heat issue.
