Hi there,
so i'll have around 500$ to spend and i was thinking to spend it on my rig:
M/B: Asus P8z68-V pro (pcandparts.com)
CPU: intel 2500k (amazon.com)
Thermal paste: Arctic silver 5 (amazon.com)
Heatsink: thermaltake Frio (pcandparts.com)
RAM: Patriot Viper Xtreme Series DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz 8-9-8-24 (amazon.com)
GPU: HIS Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2GB (amazon.com)
PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Silver (ebay.com) delivered by a friend
Case: Thermaltake Armor A90 Black Steel (pcandparts.com)
i've been away for a while and im not up to date
so i dont know where to buy what !
i think i might get a mechanical keyboard and i dont know what should i do with the rest of my money
so i would like an expert advice ...
what's the best bang for my bucks .... what would you do if you were me

Just swap GPU with a 970 (ETA is in 3-4 months) Everything else is very good, and no upgrades are needed. If you're gaming well, I'd get some peripherals and maybe a better case. I hear pcandparts are selling the Scout 2 for a good price.
Die_Kapitan
Get a new GPU and a new Cooler, I recommend a Noctua NH-D15 or if you prefer watercooling a Swiftech H220-X or NZXT Kraken X61 though you'll need a new case to fit it, I recommend the NZXT H440.

if i swapped my GPU wouldn't i suffer bottle-necking ?
Houssam
one more thing, where to get good water cooling kit and Mechanical keyboards in Lebanon ?
Die_Kapitan
Even an i5 760 wouldn't bottleneck a GTX 970
Die_Kapitan
To better understand bottlenecking I recommend you watch this video: youtube.com/watch?v=DAgpvWc4VBM

You won't. If you would it would effect only a few FPS

Go with an Gegabyte 980 G1 Gaming as a GPU

so i guess the best bang for my bucks (case wise) is the scout 2
plus a nice h100i would be just enough...
that should be about 275$ after VAT
which leaves me with about 200 bucks to get a mechanical keyboard
i was thinking about Razer RZ03-00386000-R3M1 Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 Stealth Edition Gaming Elite Mechanical Keyboard
is that a good choice to get or would you guys recommend better way for me to spend money?
Houssam
and i'll wait for the gtx 970 price drop
since my HIS Radeon HD 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2GB is doing heck of a good job right now .... i can nearly max out every game i have ... the only one i couldnt max was metro 2014, it played at 1080p on high settings and 4xaa

Houssam, I couldn't help but notice that you didn't mention your hard drives. If you insist on not upgrading your GPU, a much better item to spend that extra cash on would be an SSD if you do not have one. Honestly, I am a hardcore gamer, but would always appreciate the faster loading times over the looks of my keyboard ( I know the feel changes as well, and so do the functions, but in retrospect I find that most who intend to by a gaming keyboard do not actually use its functionality to the fullest). It's just my opinion if you disagree however, and tell me what you finally get!! :D

well thanks man ... i was wondering how come no one mentionned the SSD thing !
so i thought its maybe because the performance difference might be negligible or minor ... is it ? since my pc is mostly 24/7 up and running ... so i dont need faster loading for my OS
AvoK95
You should definitely get an SSD. It's a complete must in my book. It doesn't just boot up faster. It makes opening everything faster. You won't notice how big of a bottleneck you had with HDDs until you try an SSD.
I just figured you probably had one already.
Houssam
thanks avok95 ok man done ... but do you recommend anything special ? (must be available here in lebanon please)
