I've recently noticed that some people are using US number and with those number they're using Whatsapp.

I currently have 1 mobile phone number that has been distributed to customers and tons of other public places. I would like to separate my personal Whatspp Number and work number, I do have plans to buy a second SIM in the future, but for now, I just want a service that provides me with a free phone number that maybe doesn't make calls unless I pay them, but receives calls or SMS so that I set up WhatsApp.
I use VoxOx, you start off with 1$ for a call/message.

But receiving calls and the number are free right?
Hello, there's an app on the US AppStore , it gives you a free phone number that can receive SMS and calls(not sure about the calls), and thus you'd be able to use it on the AppStore. I tried text free, the one that has yellow phone in its a logo,it was long ago... Talkatone should work well, haven't tried it however.
Good luck.

Yes, btw if you want to call for free there's an application called MagicApp on iOS/Android which let's you call to the US for free via Wifi/3G. I use it a lot for internet support.
You can setup Whatsapp using your land-line number. And since since you can only use 1 number on whatsapp at a time, you could run the other number on an emulator on your pc (see previous posts for that)
If you have iphone you can have many whatsapps ! I mean multiple apps with different data each, so you can use multiples accounts
I think teletalk did the trick, but I still didn't set up WhatsApp yet, I'll update later,

@NuclearVision, we had that feature on Android YEARS ago :P
Well talkatone didn't work, it didn't have a valid country code. VoxOx never sent me a confirmation SMS (I retried several times). Any other suggestions?

My land-line numbers aren't working anymore. It says that they're invalid.
I can download that app on my iphone and give u the phone number.

Talkatone downloads, but the number that's given to me doesn't have a valid country code, so it's not working with WhatsApp.
What's its format ?oh and what device do you have ? I suppose it's a nexus from your previous post?
I'm using text free plus on iphone it does give you free phone number in the USA.
It is available in play store as well, I'm not sure if they also give you a phone number as they don't mention it in the description.
