I don't have enough information about what happened to Blackberry. I love qwerty phones and I'm thinking of buying the Blackberry Q10.

But what about Blackberry?
Are they still in business?
do they upgrade their OS?
are people still making apps for their store?
I heard that I can use android apps on it, is this true? any disadvantages?

If you think that I should get an Android phone, is there any good QWERTY android phone around?

Thanks.
But I want a QWERTY phone :(

I hate touch keypad, I've seen some indian made Android qwerty phones but I'm sure they aren't available in Lebanon, they cost barely 100$ on Amazon.

All QWERTY phones are old now , if you insist on a QWERTY phone then you will limit the hardware and software of the phone you have , I was a blackberry fanboy and always said that I cant use a touch screen , but I own an xperia Z now and I couldn't be more satisfied.
You could buy any wired mini keyboard and an OTG cable (usb to micro usb) like this . I have used this cable with a keyboard, a mouse and a flash memory. They all work.

Alternatively you could buy a bluetooth keyboard like this . I have seen similar products in shops here in Lebanon.
You could get a touch phone and get a QWERTY keyboard cover. It'll be just as thick as a BB and it won't be limited to the abnormally complicated BB OS
Don't get a blackberry. Get a nexus instead. Cheap and powerful or an iPhone.
The blackberry days are over, even though i really enjoyed the devices and OS, now after android i really cannot use them anymore. I really like QWERTY phones too, I looked everywhere for them and especially ones with android, all I could ever find was the HTC Chacha. Im currently searching for an HTC desire Z phone or something similar. Aliexpress has loads of them you can check there also.
But trust me dont buy a a blackberry.
@Flakk
Well, me and a few friends had the HTC desire Z, a truly excellent phone at the time, however the physical keyboard starts to die after about 8 to 10 months.
First some individual keys (like the E in my case) stop working, then it spreads to the whole keyboard. So even if you do find one, chances are that the physical keyboard is dead.
