NuclearVision
Hello everyone,
The title explains it all, to sum up, I am on resellers internet, which is now adays more expensive than a40gb ogero connection, and you get fuped after 15gbs... It used to make sense to block torrents, but now what? I'm sick of it, I'd appreciate any help...
My max download speed is 24kB/s, for a healthy torrent. And it's pretty rare to see it actually, my most seen values rest between 4-11kB/s. It's painful...
Thanks !
Raficoo
From an Ogero user, if you have the cash and time, get Ogero's 2mbit/s unlimited, So far I haven't been FUPed once on their connection(mostly because FUP doesn't exist and is not mentioned in their services), the only cons is that 2mbit/s max, fixed $50/month tag, and it depends on your location and if Ogero will actually give you the 2mbit/s instead of 1mbit/s(with a bit of luck) but their stability with respect to other ISPs is second to none(disregarding any national or international wire cuts/malfunctions).
Also try downloading with an IP proxy on the torrent client, when I used to download torrents on a certain network that normally don't allow torrents, for some reason I got a download speed faster than HTTP downloads, that's just one possibility.

Hello raficoo, yes it would be great, but unfortunately I moved to a fairly new building without a "phone box". So it's not possible.
Thanks !

How much have you downloaded so far (since Augst 1st)?

I've only been upgraded to 2mbit/s for about a week now but so far I've downloaded 52.8GBs and all my torrents' average speeds are 195-198KB/s

Theorically you won't be fuped until at least 90gb.
Let's focus on the main subject please?: )

Try

NuclearVision
Thanks!
It works for files under 1gb.
Any other suggestions?

Google "torrent caching", I hope you find what you're looking for :)
riqmarmes
VPN also bypasses the network restrictions

Tried it, painfully slow..
I took in thephoenician advice, found a site called furk.net
So far it's great.

hello NuclearVision. Here is my 2 cents on this issue. My ISP Terranet throttles torrent traffic as well. The best solution i found is a seedbox. you can find lots of them for about 10 dollars a month. Good luck.
NuclearVision
Hello try furk.net it's free

I second bigjudge's suggestion. I've used a lot of seedboxes and can help you choose a decent one.

Get a vps and build your own seedbox, it's much cheaper :)
NuclearVision
Yeah I did that for a while, until they closed my account, they had written somewhere in nano-size font, that they prohibit p2p sharing
NuclearVision
Free vps for everyone
Search haphost, limited ram but good.

You should aim for servers in Europe. US Providers will suspend your service quickly due to the fear of DMCA.
If you want I can give you access to my seedbox, I don't use it much.
