  • Region locked games in steam

Does anyone here own max payne 1 & 2 on steam? it was available for purchase around a year ago but now it says its not available in our region, as much as i can remember i had the game in my library already purchased, i would talk to steam support but im not 100% sure if i had it or not, can anyone confirm if it was removed from our library ?

i also want to discuss about others games that are not available as well, every time there is a big sale on, i always find one or two games that do not load on the main sale page, dark souls 1 was removed as well, most rockstar games are, the list seems to be increasing over time, what gives?
For some reason, some games are region locked, and if you somehow figure out how to bypass it and purchase the game (illegally), you will get a warning or banned or something like that (read about it and forgot what actually happens).

I tried to bypass it to buy the GTA bundle a few sales back. Didn't work out. I tried to find someone living the US to buy it for me, but no one seemed to have any cash on them. Would be interesting to try and see if someone can buy you a region locked game then gift it to you. I think it would probably work.
So buying games that are region locked is illegal. At the same time, piracy is also illegal. Great
To Bypass the regional lock, I got a friend from Australia to buy me a game and send it as gift. It worked for me.

Recently i bought GTA complete package and Max Payne 3 (steam keys) from gamersgate.com before i knew about region locked games.
What happend is when i tried to add GTA key ( although it was not available in my region) it worked and it is still in my library, but when i tired to add Max Payne 3, Steam couldn't process it as it was not available in our region.
So i got a friend from europe to add it for me on my steam account and it worked and playing it.
