I'll quote and reply for everything he told you to correct any bad information he gave you @LifeEngineer.
LifeEngineer wrote first the prices are trick. It's not only 24000LL but you should 5000 "tawabe3" and other fees which will get you nearly to 22$ or more.
That's wrong , the internet package price IS 24000 LL , the "tawabi3" things you are mentioning might be extra things you need to pay when you actually pay your phone bill regardless if you have DSL or not.
LifeEngineer wrote we give unlimited data (I confirm this)
That's the biggest lie and I'll tell you why. Cable providers 99.99% of the times cache everything their customers have done before on their internet so when someone else actually download for example the same thing , it's done with alot of speed and stability , so technically you are not using any bandwidth , you're just downloading from the ISP servers. They save much bandwidth doing so and make you thing it's all unlimited , do whatever you want.
LifeEngineer wrote -we give stable constant speed while all ISPs and ADSL providers use SUP (I confirm that the speed is practically stable) and you will enjoy full speed the first 5gb for example and will decrease gradually to reach pathetic levels...
The most vague argument ever. If you got a limited plan, even if you use up your 40GB traffic the first day ( which is technically impossible ) and start using up extra traffic , you won't get throttled to lower speeds or lower QoS since you're paying for it ( if ISPs did that , they contradict themselves and lose money ). It might be only done on unlimited plans or ISPs with free night traffic applying FUP only at night , but impossible during day. Most cable providers do that for heavy downloaders and cache the data their users access ( see 2nd reply ).
LifeEngineer wrote Because they can never give you constant speed at 2mbps because you will consume your 40gb in less than 10days especially if you watch youtube
These 2 things aren't even related to each other .. It's none of the ISP business to monitor your usage and throttle your speed accordingly .. That will take up more than 10 000 staff members to do so for all subscribers. I get a constant speed for the entire month , I get what I paid for , and if you don't then there is something wrong from your end or the ISP is having issues.
LifeEngineer wrote they did not give 40gb yet
They did , in the entire country and all regions , just the speed upgrade for some packages isn't implemented yet ( expected in around 15 days max ).
LifeEngineer wrote ll these offers are practically propaganda because the internet prices did not decrease a lot. It's only a 25% decrease while the offers have more than doubled! That's why you can expect worst service!
Kind of true , but worst service ? Really ? Worse service is for a limited amount of time FOR SOME REGIONS until the COs are fully upgraded.
LifeEngineer wrote current E1 price is 490$ and it's only 2mbps so how would you even imagine these low prices if they are really giving users real 1mbps or 2mbps!
Clearly your cable guy loves using technical words like E1s or he just doesn't know how things really work.
LifeEngineer wrote anyways, you will not reach these high speeds if you are more than 600m away from the "central".
You can handle 4mbps even if you are more than 2km away from the CO ( maybe more than 2km also). I am 1360 meter away from my CO , and my line stats are great and theoretically can handle 21mbps on ADSL 2+ and VDSL if it ever gets implemented in Lebanon. People who have DSL don't really live in CO's basement like he is implying.
LifeEngineer wrote they eliminated free tarrifs during the night, which also aligns with what I'm trying to prove here.
Actually it is still there with private ISPs but with FUP , only Ogero don't have it anymore.
I took my time to write all of this because I suffered with cable providers , and their lies ( especially when they start using technical words to get you lost , make them feel like pros ). All cable providers are absolute liers , with their rubbish cached internet they try to impress you with.
