Feedback for IDM
When I first subscribed to IDM I had failed NAT on my PS4(which is worst than NAT 3). I contacted technical support and they directly understood my situation and tried to fix it. They sent me an email on all the steps I need to do in my ps4, pc, and router, I ended up to an excellent NAT 2 which is open, and I never encountered any difficulties when connecting to others.DarkNe0441 wroteI am looking to change my ISP to IDM, but I would like to know a few things first..
I have heard that the connection is behind strong NAT settings and that some ports are closed. I do a lot of Xbox gaming which needs to have open NAT, so has anyone else experienced any difficulties?
Hello
I want to switch to DSL from cable.
I'm especially interested in IDM's 2Mbps 50GB plan.
Is there a FUP on this plan? Can I download 3GB safely at night from time to time?
I remember that, before the upgrade, IDM had no FUP whatsoever.
Is connection stable (200KB/s+) all day long?
Thanks

I don't think you will get the 2 Mbps speed , I changed my plan to 2 Mbps 50 Gb and the speed is 110 KB/s , every time i ask about the speed upgrade , they say it was delayed till the next month , its been 3 months now and still waiting -_-raichu wroteHello

So i called them now and asked them why my connection was slow .. they just took my info:
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 62 / 4.089
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/MB]: 6,54 / 71,06
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 39,7 / 62,5
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 5,5 / 6,0
They said they will notify the "maksam" and if within two days it is not fixed .. i'll have to call again :( .. Fingers crossed

your upload speed is disastrous. Could be from that. What modem are you using?

His S/N Margin is also very low (if I am not mistaken anything below 6.0 and the modem cannot even sync with the DSLAM). Perhaps it would be wiser to ask IDM to revert back to a down bandwidth of 2 Mb/s (2.048 Kb/s) and its corresponding up speed/bandwidth in order to get a higher S/N Margin and, thus, a more stable connection.
He can have a low SN Margin with normal speed. He can also have a modem that automatically resyncs speed without cutting off. It would still be better than downgrading to 2 Mbps in case the extra speed is needed.
when i first installed i had an SN Margin "about" 16.0 / 14.0 :S .. this started showing 3-4 days ago .. while my upload is 0.2 Mbps on ookla :S this is disastrous .. the weird thing is my ping is stable .. and playing online games is still possible with ping less than 150 according to certain EU servers.
check your connections , try another filter , another wall socket , disconnect all the phones and electronic devices nearby the modem and connect the modem alone directly to the phone lineNAM wrotewhen i first installed i had an SN Margin "about" 16.0 / 14.0 :S .. this started showing 3-4 days ago .. while my upload is 0.2 Mbps on ookla :S this is disastrous .. the weird thing is my ping is stable .. and playing online games is still possible with ping less than 150 according to certain EU servers.

Perhaps it's all related to this (taken from the Feedback for Sodetel thread):
nefe_lpmk wroteI called support today, there is a problem Lebanon wide.
The Dsl centrals couldn't handle the upgrade and crashed and they have been working for one week on fixing the problem.
Everything should go back to normal once the problem is fixed.

Thank you man .. now that it comes to mind the only change i had was the addition of a phone by a splitter (adsl filter) .. and now after removing it my connection bounced by leapsaliessayli2 wrotecheck your connections , try another filter , another wall socket , disconnect all the phones and electronic devices nearby the modem and connect the modem alone directly to the phone line

But wow thats alot of noise caused by 1 phone
@NAM your SNR is still very low compared to your attenuation. I think you still need to look into things that may cause this.
How can I check my SN Margin and Line Attenuation on my LINKSYS WRT120N ?
I don't think my router support that feature :"(

(192.x.x.x is the router IP)
if it doesn't work then i think Linksys removed that in newer models!

From what every month they tell me "We shall get back to you on the 1st of October if the result is negative otherwise your ADSL account will be automatically upgraded to 4M" you shall get your upgrade at 12 A.Msailor wroteI got a call today morning from idm telling me that they will switch my plan to 4mb

Screw them they didn't send me anything. I've applied for the 4M since july 17th and nothing yet.
And dude, 4 days are nothing, why care if it's tomorrow or after 4 days, we've been waiting for months
