  • Where to get non-refurbished laptops?

Hello all,

I have had a very bad luck with laptops recently. I bought 3 "new" ones that turned out to all be refurbished just like 90% of all computers we get in Lebanon and started getting problems with them since day one. Khoury home's warranty (where I bought them) is useless, I have sent it to them many times and all they do is reset it to factory state. So now I need a new laptop, but I don't know where I can get one that is totally new and non-refurbished. Anyone by any chance knows some place where I can get a new laptop guaranteed to be non-refurbished?

Also, I strongly prefer that it's an HP laptop and shipping from abroad is sadly not an option.
Get one without an OS from PCANDPARTS and install the OS manually.
Get them from big companies and make sure the boxes are closed. Always buy your computers with an OS pre-installed by the manufacturer and not the company. Never buy from shops. Always look for damage on the body and refurbished stickers under the laptop and/or battery. Also the box. Also the best thing to do is to contact the dealer and ask them to forward you to an authorized reseller.

But you don't need to be picky. No matter what you buy, it'll be dead in 5 years anyway (Unless they're a pro grade laptop)
I bought my Laptop from Compuworld like 4 years go. I think you would get a non-refurbished laptop from him especially if it's a newer model.
It is an Acer and came in the box with Linux pre-installed (as per specs). I agree with others, don't let them put their dirty hands on your laptop :) do all installations and setup yourself.
I second pcandparts.
I bought laptops from abed-tahan and every thing were fine.

It's not that the goods are bad. The employees are bad.
I bought my HP laptop from PCandParts, I haven't seen anything unusual in it, I checked the HP warranty online and it was correct, and I also dropped it once, the VGA fan was damaged and started making ugly noise whenever I turn the laptop on, in 5 days I sent it to PCandPARTS and got it back fixed. I love those guys.
