  • Buying a gaming laptop under 1000$

Hey guys,

So I've been looking for a gaming laptop, under 1000$ that can run certain games decently. I don't really focus much on graphics, all I want is decent FPS while playing games like DayZ, Battlefield 4, and some other games. Though, I'd also like to use it for programming, possibly a small SSD would help for faster compile times.

After searching over PCANDPARTS, I've gotten off to these, please tell me if I can find any better offers:

Lenovo IdeaPad Z510 Intel Core i7-4702MQ 8GB Ram 1TB SSHD+8GB SSD DVDRW 15.6" LED LAN, WIFI/BT Nvidia GT740 2GB Dedicated VGA Cam/ Windows 8.1 $879.00

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14 Intel Core i5-4200U 4GB Ram 500GB HDD+8SSD - 14" Touch LAN, WIFI/BT Nvidia GT720 2GB Dedicated VGA Cam/ Windows 8.1 $794.00

HP 15-n221 Intel Core i7-4500U 8GB Ram 750GB HDD DVDRW 15.6" LED LAN, WIFI GT 740M 2GB Bluetooth/Cam/Windows 8.1 64-bit $858.00

Thanks in advance!

the one with the 750 gpu, not sure about the 755

Email them and ask them about the pricing its shockingly cheap considering the amazing specs! that would usually cost you around $3000

I bought the y500 which is the older version of y510 a year ago and am using it as a desktop + some minor gaming. I use to play Dota2 and Tera on it and its decent.

the laptop is heavier than other laptops i guess and the cursor really sucks. However, since am using it as a desktop mainly i highly highly recommend it! I have one gpu and its 650m and this gpu is really impressive!

I can consider selling you my y500 for $800 if you want :P

I've been finding an issue with these laptops knowing that it will not run the game I want even on low settings.

Any better laptops? (anything below 1300$)
Four gaming laptops I recommend: -MSI GP70 2PE-027XFR Leopard
-MSI GP60 2PE-061XFR Leopard
-MSI GT60 2OC-407XFR
-MSI GE70 2PC-207XFR Apache, all four are under 1300$ including shipping (from LDLC)

I'm so in love with the MSI GP70 2PE-027XFR Leopard.

Do you think any store sells it in Lebanon?
And you might also like the MSI GE60 2PE-208FR Apache Pro
They all look good, isn't there anywhere I can find MSI laptops in Lebanon?
