Hello,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows anything about this particular adsl modem (or has it for that matter).

It says that it is compatible with ADSL2+ Annex M when i believe all our connections are Annex A. Would that make a difference?

Thanks in advance.
Annex M is "backward compatible" with Annex A.
Annex M is an ADSL2+ standard that increases your upstream data rate beyond the limits of standard ADSL2+.

Most Lebanese ADSL2+ uses the Annex A standard, with a theoretical upstream data rate of 1.4Mb/s. Annex M increases the maximum data rate - up to 3Mb/s. Internode have recorded real-world speeds of up to 2.5Mb/s, but typical upstream speeds are around 1.6 to 2.2 Mb/s.

Any increase in upstream speeds will result in a matching decrease in downstream speed - usually at a 1:1 ratio. Just like standard ADSL, your speeds also depend on the quality of your wiring, and the length and condition of your phone line.

It will work
