I'm thinking of buying a 32 inch Tv and use it as a computer monitor.
Any screen recommendation or something special i should know about.

Any personal experience would be highly appreciated.
I am using my Samsung LCD TV 32'' on HDMI for 3 years now and I love it!
Games are as nice as a PS4 on TV and with a wireless keyboard + mouse I can do everything from my bed
Photos from PC on TV are just WOW!
Though it's a FHD panel.
I am planning to do the same for the summer house but with a 720p 32'' this time and LED instead of LCD, I don't think there is much difference with 1080p.
I think I will take a Philips 3008,it has a 279$ price and great specs (100hz,2 HDMI, USB...)
by the way I want a Full HD Led tv, thanks for the recommendation vegetaleb
Well if an LCD 32 '' FHD is already amazing then with LED it will be even better

so the philip wont do the trick :(, what about that samsung you recommended in another post?
one thing to keep in mind, if you want to play games on your computer many tvs will not work.
you will experience huge delays.

so what you need to check is if the tv has "gaming mode", if not and you want to play games then don't buy it
Huge delays??
Well any TVs with 5ms response time is more than fast for games, some LCD can be ''slow'' if at 15ms and slower.
My Samsung is at 5ms so very fluid, I have it in 50/60hz but the activation of VSYNC take the screen tearing away that you won't have on 100hz.
On 40'' it's slower for the same model.

The samsung model I posted should be Amazing for games
Enjoy those pixels, bro. TVs were made to be viewed at a distance. You cannot change God's work.

So i was setting up an ultra HD tv (84 inch samsung ) ...even with 4k you can see that the picture is pixelated
I have had problems with that. I have a 32" Bravia. All games have some graphics problem if I don't change them to Windowed mode and play with part of the taskbar showing or something. It's really frustrating. Some games like Supreme Commander 2 have different Refresh Rates modes that helped fix the problem, but most games don't have that, so I am forced to play them in Windowed mode. Not even turning Vsync on helped. But for everything else, it's been great. Especially if you are working on things. I usually open up different windows, and instead of alt-tabbing, I just have everything open in front of me, which is great.

I am not sure what the fix for my problem is, but if you find a way to avoid it, it would be great.

With TVs you have 2 kinds of speed: the refresh rate which is the Hz and the response time in ms.
Refresh rate in some games on a 50-60hz can make screen tearing (split screen) but it's easily fixable by Vsync.
Response time if slow can end up with graphics smears and ghostings, for video games it's recommended to have 5ms or faster.
If I took the Samsung over the Sony a couple of years ago it was because the Samsung was 5ms and the Sony 15ms!!!
Search your model in the internet for response time.
If you don't game, a TV is fine for a monitor. But if you do, the response time would be a lot.

So I Googled around. My model is the Sony Bravia KLV-32NX500 and I couldn't find anything about the Response Time. It's always N/A. What the hell.

Anyway, I think my problem is with the Refresh Rate. I have a lot of tearing everywhere, but Vsync never fixes it.
am tending now for a monitor-tv like this screen from pc and parts
LG MD2780D Wide 27" Full HD LED-TV 3D w/Passive 3D glasses
It seem to have excellent review and its exactly what am looking for, but it seem out of stock :S
anybody knows where i can find it?

about the response time, you read it somewhere, it does exist.
