A topic got deleted today in introductions,
Indeed, someone created a topic where both the subject and message body were "Hiiii". You are expected to put a bit more effort introducing yourself.
Admins used to leave a private message, but I guess it's easier for them now removing any unacceptable post by their terms even if it doesn't break the rules of the forum, without any notice.
Don't get surprised if this one is removed too.
That is simply untrue. Nothing gets removed randomly. Things get removed to enforce the rules. Naturally, when there are only 10 lines outlining the rules, we will get into situations where we have to operate in gray areas, on a best-judgement basis. In these cases, we send a notice to the user as a courtesy.
As mentioned in the rules, useless posts are deleted without warning. Here are some examples of posts that would generally be deleted but are left for future reference:

While light-spirited and said in a cheeky way, it adds no value to the discussion.

alk wrotewith great power ... comes great responsibility (sarcastic face smiley)
Again no added value if the OP does not clarify.
Again, fun and light-spirited, but not the right place for this.
We strive to be community where members post quality, thoughtful content that is useful and adds value to other people's lives. There are better-suited forums and social networks for chatting and posting memes, please direct these messages there.
