I went to khoury cell to purchase the new HTC one, they said that they discontinued HTC one and tried to sell me a sony or a samsung. They said that HTC one has major problems of overheating.

Is that true? is it overheating?

Is the M8 worth the expense? where is the best place to buy it? I aint driving to amhaz...
Huge LOL!
The M8 has no overheating at all, I can play games for 2 hours without a single heating.
Call the elmazad delivery guy, search for ''competitive'' in elmazad and get his post.
All his phones are brand new and with full original pack,he also has the same prices as Amhaz delivered to your home
Two quests.

1-Do you trust this delivery guy I mean is his warrantee legit?

2- is the M8 worth the extra expense over the HTC one? I am not a big player of games...
My 1 rule is, never ever, ever, ever, EVER trust or listen to shops.
Well yeah the M8 worth it as the M7 you will buy will have 80% chance to get the purple tint in camera
The M8 screen is a real upgrade as it's finally 5'',the camera is better with lot of new focus stuff, the speakers are louder...
About the delivery guy I bought a One X 2 years ago and the M8 now,he's VERY honest.
He's also the only one who will accept that you try the phone before paying to check for any factory errors or defects.
He will give you 1 full week of full warranty

So How's your M8 holding up? Can you post a thorough review about it?

S5 has reached 565$ today and M8 is still on 680$! It's expensive! Very expensive!
Dude I bought the M8 at 770$ so if you find it at 680$ it's really a wonderful price, the M7 with warranty Gomobile is still sold 630$!!
It won't go under 650$ before September
10 days later
Just bought HTC one - the 2013 version. It is just perfect. And I paid a measly 450$ for it.
M7 brand new is 420 or so at amhaz. I see its a waste of money t pay souble thw price to get warranty. ( not to mention that warranty may mean nothing in lebanon).
m7 is getting htc sense 6.0 now or soon. That doesn't sound like a discontinued product :)

Hardware-wise, not at all. HTC One is good enough for at least the next few releases of android.
However, HTC only supports its devices for 1.5 to two years. That means expect HTC one to stop getting updates by 2015 or early 2015.
I own an HTC one(m7) and some device models have overheating which creates distortions on the camera sensor resulting in black becoming purple.
Do not purchase it before testing the camera after using the phone (for it to heat).
On the other hand the M8 has this problem fixed and I recommend it.
