CodingFreak Hey guys, I'm a CS junior looking for an internship for this Summer. My language of preference is C++. If you know any company looking for interns with experience in writing C++ code, please let me know.
ebsos Hey CodingFreak! I wanna ask you something off topic. I'm still a high school senior and I would like to join the LAU computer science summer institute. As I was checking the website, it seems the program has been closed. Since you are an LAU student, can you confirm this issue or double check from the CS department ? Thank you in advance.
rolf Can you explain what this does? (can i just see the dotfiles?) https://github.com/chaficnajjar/dotfiles Can I see your bash script to snip videos together somewhere online? I am just curious... Good luck for your internship.
rolf venam wroteand haven't got any *useful* replies yet. Comments that allow you to improve your CV are not useful? Or what exactly do you mean by *useful*?
CodingFreak Hey ebsos, apparently they're updating the website that's why you couldn't register. Instead, send an email to the email address I just sent you to let them know that you're interested in participating. Also, there's "You @ LAU" in a few weeks in case you're interested in finding out more about the different majors at LAU. rolf, I'm on Ubuntu so these are some of the configuration files I use, mostly for vim. By following the instructions in the README.md file, I can in theory install my dotfiles on any *nix system without losing the old configuration files. I've only tested this installation procedure on my machine and knowing how unpredictable bash scripts usually are, try it at your own risk. As for the bash script that snips videos, I'll add more information (including a website with examples) as soon as possible. Hey venam, it's been a while. If you were on facebook we would talk more often, are you on whatsapp? I've already talked with the adviser, not much he can help me with. Fortunately there's a career fair soon.
Joe knowing how unpredictable bash scripts usually are, try it at your own risk Take the time to learn how to make your shell scripts failure-proof and properly portable. It's worth it.
CodingFreak Thanks, but apparently they're looking for seniors and I'm still a junior. Plus I can only do it during the Summer.
