Hello, I was inquiring about corporate DSL plans from an ISP and the sales person said that phone line DSL is not allowed in Downtown only microwave which costs no less than $300 per month extra. The sales person mentioned that almost all ISPs are not allowed to provide phone line based DSL in down town.
Can anyone confirm? I am also interested in knowing more about the reasons behind this rule/law.
Possibly a monopoly by solidere to impose its own internet subscription to companies renting offices?

I don't think that's true. I sometimes hangout in our downtown office and I am pretty sure that the connection is Ogero's DSL. Not sure if it's corporate though.
