  • physics/ computer science double major

so i study physics at AUB and i like it, but my adviser doesn't know anything about course advising, so he gave me a bad advise and my graduation is delayed for a whole year, so i have the chance to double major in something.
i was considering computer science as a second major and a minor in math would be good, but still i'm not sure because physics alone is enough to get me to any graduate study program. so what do you think is better on a CV or more fun, in other words if you were me what would you choose as a second major and why ( i know pick what i like but i need some ideas).
thank you
Go for computer science, it is a very interesting/fun major with tons of rewards. The flow of courses in AUB lets you get a broad idea of almost all fields of computer science, from there you could pick whatever you find the most suitable for you or the one that will grantee you big $$$. Courses aren't hard if you do their assignments regularly. To my knowledge, Physics and CMPS majors share some prerequisites together so you might have already done some of them. Having the double major might land you some exotic jobs (outside of Lebanon of course)

Pro tip: Use your major's online reference sheet to guide you through which courses you need for your major, talk to your adviser only if you don't understand a particular thing in the sheet.
I don't know about majors, minors and all that jazz so I won't tell you what to choose. Instead I'll tell you this: no matter what you decide to do later, familiarity with computer science will be highly beneficial.

Even if you never use computers professionally, ever (let's face it, it's highly unlikely), you will use computers on a personal level, even if you're just checking LebGeeks. Computers will increasingly play a part in our lives. Familiarity with CS will teach you what computers can do, and more importantly what they cannot do, so you'll know what to expect from them.
