I ordered an Xbox ONE with Kinect from Dubai:
Price: 350$
Shipping and handling : 47$
=397$
It got delivered to lebanon few days ago and stayed in customs for 5 days, but now they tell me that i have two choices:
Pay 175$ for Aramex to get it out of customs and get it delivered
or get someone in the airport who can get it out
Is this normal ? Did this happen to anyone before ?
If you have a suggestion that can help please let me know.

If you paid taxes to Amazon, I think you can email them and get it refunded since you're ordering it outside the usa.RockmasteR wroteI ordered a Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce OC 8 GB from Amazon.com for 400$ + 28$ Tax = 428$

Amazon officially doesnt support mail forwarders, and you might get in trouble instead. Read their ToS about mail forwarders.

It took me 22 days. The Parcel was sent with USPS since that's what the seller uses. I was checking all the time for it's arrival and I'm glad I did that because LibanPost was about to send it back and my parcel created some kind of unexplained hassle which if it wasn't for my constant check it would have been Lost. By the positive side is that up until now I tried Aramex and USPS and both these are a total rip off.nas93 wroteHow long did it take to reach you here?Shlagem wroteRemember this? @elserge82 I decided to try to retrieve something last time from the airport.
It is a hassle. You need approximately 3-4 hours to finish the process, prepare yourself to walk a lot and going back and forth between the same buildings.
When you get there you're gonna meet people who will jump at you trying to help you hire them (same feeling when you want to do mecanique) of course you are going to thank them and respectfully decline their offers.
You will be luckily directed to the Aramex building (Same building as "UPS airport office - Beirut" in google maps). In there you will find all the shipping companies. You find your shipping company, they make you pay 50$ (FOR AN IMPORT PAPER WITH A 1.000l.l stamp. 1st Rip-off mabrouk!) and give you your parcel and then redirect you to a gomrok dude (thankfully in the same building).
You go there, wait for your turn, open your package he writes what he thinks it is and then you need to go to another building (DHL HQ in google maps) which is a 1 km walk.
Now in the new building you wait for another dude (who is usually in meetings and is the only guy who can actually sign the paper, so we were around 14 people waiting) who makes you wait a while longer then send you back to the first dude after he signs the papers.
1 km walk later, you wait for your turn, dude now decides on a random INFLATED price even though your item came with an INVOICE. Don't try to show him your bank statements or explaining anything, it doesn't matter the guy decided just by looking at an item and without checking any system it's price because he is a walking database of knowledge.
Walking database will send you back to where you can pay (around a 500 meters walk) and then you come back to pick your package.
Good luck!

What do you think would be the best option to order a laptop from abroad?

I use to praise borderlinx. However I will not use them anymore. TWO MONTHS after receiving my items DHL call me and tell me they messed up and I have to pay another 235$ over the 250$ I paid. If it was a couple of days later I would understand, but this is obnoxiously stupid. For the love of god avoid these crooks.
@Rami,don't pay and stop using their service ?
i mean they have already issued a recipe when you first had to pay for the item, it's their mistake
