Hello,

I bought a Retina Macbook Pro 15" in June, and about a month I noticed that the screen has a dead pixel. It didn't bother me for a while because it's just one pixel but today I started to experience screen ghosting/burn in.
I am still under warranty and I don't know if I should ship the laptop directly to Apple or repair it in a local authorised repair centre.
Has anyone had a similar issue and what option do you think is the best.

Thanks
Where did you purchase the laptop from?
All Retina Macbook pros with LG screens have the burn in problem. If you can return it back to Apple, they will test if your screen face burn in or not, if it does they will replace the screen.

I'm not sure if IStyle or other Apple official resellers can fix it under warranty. Do call them.
I bought it from pcandparts.com

I was hoping for a replacement. I just can't trust anything that gets disassembled or repaired. I will call them tomorrow.

Thanks
Yeah, no need to make assumptions before talking to the sellers first.
I don't think warranty covers any kind of screen problems, unless it's DOA or colors just go weird on their own.
