  • [Needed] Nvidia Quadro NVS 280 PCI-E Video Card

Hey everybody, I'm currently looking for an Nvidia Quadro NVS 280 PCI-E Full-Height 64MB DDR Dual Head Video Graphic Card:

It's fitted into an HP XW8200 workstation. I tried three other NVIDIA PCI express video cards but 2 of them couldn't fit and the third demanded more power than the PSU could supply. Problem is I can't change the entire workstation cause it's part of a medical imaging system, so I'm trying to see if the card can be found locally before taking the drastic measure of ordering the whole workstation (the card is out of stock in most of the on-line stores I checked and others need a Paypal account to order it). I checked Microcity (HP dealers) and PC and Parts, no luck there. Does anyone have the card or has a source?
you could easily replace the card with another nvidia or ati one what's the psu wattage?

The Quadro 600 should work. However your problem is that the power supply isn't handling anything more powerful. OEM computers usually have power supplies that are exactly how much a PC needs. So the PSU's are usually very cheaply made and in very low wattage. What you need to do is to find the cheapest and crappiest Quadro card you can find. Anything will be as fast or very possibly faster than the 280. If you don't need a Quadro card, get any low end card from the current generation (600 series) since they'll use the least power over other series. A 295 uses 35W, so get something that's <40
