rolf What are the best options when looking for an SSD hard drive (for laptop) which does not cost too much (less than $150) and has the best performance/price ratio - worldwide...? It does not need to be something available in Lebanon.
AvoK95 PCandParts has the Samsung 840 250GB for $202+VAT. It's the best SSD in the consumer level market next to the 840 Pro.
yasamoka What size? If it's 128GB then you could find that for less than $150 mostly, and if it's 256GB then you *might* be able to squeeze in an SSD on a sale or something. The Samsung 840 Pro is highly praised. You also have the EVO but be careful for the write speeds on cheaper drives. If the laptop uses SATA II I wouldn't worry too much about theoretical maximum throughput and concentrate on other aspects of the SSD.
rolf Thanks :) I am doing a research for someone in the UK So far I found these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Series-120GB-Solid-State/dp/B009LI7C5I/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1380648552&sr=8-4&keywords=ssd+hard+drive+for+laptop+internal+-hybrid http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Kingston-SSDNow-V300-120GB-V300S37A-120G-SATA-6GB-s-2-5-MLC-Flash-SSD-/251328657657?pt=UK_Computing_Other_Computing_Networking&hash=item3a845af8f9 With the Kingston looking good. Thanks, I found a normal version and an EVO version which costs a little more. I wonder if it is worth the difference. It seems to make real difference for some other models, but I wonder if it does for this one... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-250GB-Basic-Solid-State/dp/B00E391OX6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1380665491&sr=8-2&keywords=Samsung+840+250GB http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Series-250GB-Solid-State/dp/B009LI7C9Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380665491&sr=8-1&keywords=Samsung+840+250GB
