Chafic wroteSkullcandy is a good brand with a very good price for them. They are not like the beats, they give you a good quality audio with its price. To say that they suck in general is just utterly wrong. If you remove the gold tips, and the name of the person that made the beats, it will only cost 200$ - 250$.Im not judging the audio of the beats they have very good quality, but you can find a more better quality and cheaper price then the beats.
Umm no. Skullcandy is nowhere near the sound quality you will find on proper headphones like Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Beyerdynamic, AKG, to name a few. Even for the same price points. That is just what the fake audio market would have you believe.
Beats is excessive bass and nothing else.
Skullcandy is high amounts of bass with something else.
Not very balanced headphones. For proper "bassy" headphones, look elsewhere:
Closed: ATH-M50s, Creative Aurvana Live (rebranded Denon D2000s)
Open: HD485 (discontinued), HD518 (available) - the lookout remains for open headphones as bassy as HD485 while not overpowering the other frequencies too much.
