I'm willing to get a new laptop, my old one is kind of outdated.
My interests in a laptop is online gaming, watching videos.
Which one should I buy?
Dell core i7-3517 3.1 GHZ 4GB DDR3 750gb vga dedicated radeon HD 8730M 2gb display 15.6 os windows 8
HP ATOM 1.8 GHZ 2GB DDR3 64gb ssd vga shaped intel graphics no odd display 11.6
HP core i7-3632qm 2.2ghz 8gb ddr3 750 gb vga dedicated radeon 7670m 2gb
Lenovo core i7-3612 3.1ghz 6gb ddr3 750 gb vga dedicated nvidia n13p-glr 2gb
Lenovo core i7-3632 3.2 ghz 8gb ddr3 1 TB vga dedicated 2 gb vga (gt635m)
Toshiba core i7-3630 2.4 ghz 4gbddr3 500gb dedicatesld radeon HD 7610m graphics dedicated 1gb
Toshiba core i7-3632 2.2 ghz 6gb ddr3 750gb dedicated radeon HD 7670M 2gb up to 5,873mb

Those are my options, my budget is 900$. I would really appreciate it I you helped me out.
I'm not that good of an expert when it comes to pc, so if you know some other laptops that are better than the ones above please inlighten me.
Thanks in advance.
Ahmad90, I'm not sure you can get a brand new i7 laptop for less than a 1000$. If you're interested in a used refurb, I could hook you up with one around 700$.
I think you have more options but if i were to pick out of those, i would go with either the gt 635m or the 8730m. In terms of processor, they are all similar except for the i7 3517 and the atom.

If the games you play are cpu intensive, you may wanna drop the dell since the low power processor could choke a bit.
@Nabs No offense intended, but it's too risky to buy a used laptop in my opinion.
@reppinhighz Okay thanks, I'll take that into account.
None taken, I totally agree with you, the whole risky thing. But still, sometimes it's worth the risk, to save several hundred Dollars.
The GT 635m 2gb is really good for your price range. I got the same GPU and I can play many games on high to maxing them.

On a GT635M. At 720p+? Slideshow.
If you game at around 720p the gt 635 will perform very very well on mid settings and it should stay thar way for the nrxt 2-3 years. Generally gaming on mid settings on modern games looks quiet good unless you are very anal about getting better eye candy, but in the end you'll get used to whatever settinfs you are playing at. As for the 8730 it is a bit stronger than the 635 but I persoanlly opt out of AMD graphics cards on laptops since they run hotter and i prefer nvidias driver support. The cpu on the Dell is weaker than all the others exept for the atom.

If you can, i recommend that you hold off buying a new laptop until the new equivelances of the laptops you stated above come out, you'd get something that wld last longer for almodt if not thr same price
At first I have my mind on the HP 7670m 2gb. Then again, pretty much every one seems to favor the GT (635) [even a couple of friend of mine], I'm gonna go ahead with it.
Thanks a lot guys, appretiate the help.
Cheers.
The 7670M is slightly faster than the GT635M but I'm unsure of laptop driver support with Nvidia vs. AMD. I've heard many complaints about AMD laptop driver support (particularly with Enduro) but then again there are many riding the AMD hate bandwagon.

I'd be careful about what GT635M one gets with their laptop.
Multiple versions with varying performance.

And yes it gives a playable framerate (sometimes borderline though) at 720p medium settings. But high / ultra / maxed out?
Yes it may seem like "how is that possible" but my GT635m 2gb dedicated DDR3 can max games like crysis 3 maxed out but gpu will heat good. Far cry 3 maxed out, Skyrim maxed also. and metros last light mid to high.
What is then the point in having a high-end graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce GTX670 / 680 / 690 / 770 / 780 / TITAN or the AMD 7950 / 7970 / 7990?
Ofcourse it wont max out any of the modern games but for a 900$ LAPTOP youd expdct to hit the bottleneck a bit over mid settings

I already got your point in a previous post. I want Chafic's opinion on this.

I don't have a high end graphic card, but if I do want to buy one I will get it for the many years of gaming I can play with it. I will get it so I wont worry that after 3 years I would need to update it. I would be 100% happy with it for more than 5 years or more. That is the main point for me and should be for many others.

You're missing the point. What's the point in a graphics card that is multiple times faster (in excess of 8-10 times probably) than something that can max out games while still being playable?

Wow, since when can you max out Crysis 3 with a 635, same goes to Skyrim.. Even with a 650M, I can't max them out. Depends what resolution you're playing on...

1366x768. I can tweak the game to make it run smooth on high end graphics. Its not all about maxing every little last settings.

@yasamoka My first option in getting a graphic card was a GT 650m. As you can see its a mid range GPU that is very satisfying and can make any game playable. I don't care about graphics, I don't care if I can run the game on full ultra graphics, I just care about the ability to play it. When I tweak my games its to see how far my GPU can go and it makes some games a little more enjoyable. Example far cry 3 has beautiful land scape that makes the island look so real and the water just tempting, but if I cant hold it maxed then I don't care I have had a NVidia 9300ms and played skyrim, and many other games.
