rahmu wroteI have a Samsung Galaxy S2 that's getting a bit old. The audio plug is damaged. For the past month or so, every time I had my headset on, sound would come out of a single ear piece. If I applied pressure on the jack, I could get sound to come out of the other one.
For the past 3 days, sound is completely dead, nothing comes out from the headset.
I'm pretty sure it's a hardware issue, and I'm guessing it's a common one as well. I know very little about electronics in general, and I don't own any kind of appropriate tools, so I'm not going to do it myself (unless someone here helps me and shows me how easy it is to do).
I'm coming to Lebanon soon. What are the best repair shops that could take care of this?
It's better if you have it repaired in France. Lebanese repairman are just horrible..
It should be quite easy to fix it yourself.
Here's a step-by-step guide by iFixit on the S2 teardown
The whole piece that has the audio jack, vibration motor and speaker and audio jack is from $4-$25. You can buy that and just snap it in place. It's that easy.. Google S2 I9100 (Unless your S2 is another version) Audio Jack assembly, buy the part online and replace it.
