Hello!

I am wondering if somebody here knows anything about the entrance test of Murex (applying as developer). After searching the forum, I found a topic from 2011 and some people were saying that the entrance test is very hard.
If anybody here had the test, please give me some hints about the type of questions that I should expect.

Thank you for helping me.
Section 1 = Finance and Math
Section 2 = C++ and Java
Section 3 = Sql and General questions

You should work on section 2 and if you have time on section 3

I can't remember much, but the gist of it, is that you will be given some class or function and you will be asked on the functionality and how to improve the code. Some exercises are in C++ and some in Java.
Thanks rtp, is the test 'very hard' compared to the basic knowledge given by the university courses ?

you did section 3 because you were applying for quality control engineer position? i know it includes SQL and XML. what about technical analysis? and what kind of questions for SQL and XML and other general questions? thank you :)
I was applying for Technical Consultant.
SQl, you should know how to use "join","group by","having","sum", etc..

They give you an XML and you have to change the structure, as I remember.

You have to know XSLT as well I think.

Murex use Java, so the general questions will be related to Java and Unix mainly.
