Hello Everyone,
So 4 hours ago i was gaming on my playstation, and when i do so i turn off the wifi feature on my Thomson TG585v7, well i finished and placed my router somewhere else, now by then i would be connected to the internet all up and running, but this time its not working, see:
The Thomson boots up, power light green but the wireless light is red and its blinking, i tried to reset the router but it wont work, held it for even 30 seconds.
Tried to restore firmware on a guide i followed to no avail, it gives me an error halfway through.
Any Tips ? Or is my router dead and cannot be fixed?
if you cant access 192.168.1.254 then its dead
if the Wi-Fi controller is dead you could still access the router, is the wired Ethernet still working can you ping the router?
Wireless/Wired won't connect, just shows it as an unknown connection, plus i can't acces 192.168.1.254, heck i can't even reset it, it should be on it's way to ogero.
Worst case scenario is that it cannot be fixed and i'm going to have to wait until the officials are finished to buy a new router.
Damn.
Fixed. Just had to boot it in the 'update' mode which you can get into by pressing the reset button while powering it on, then flashed the same firmware which is 7.4.4.7.

Might I ask where you got the firmware?
This is the router that came with your Ogero subscription, am I right? It was a piece of cr*p to be honest :P. It used to reboot whenever it pleases, and reset to factory settings every month or so.

100% Right, I'm getting a TP-Link from Pcandparts next week and upgrading to a 4mb internet.
