I am an avid hunter,i love bird and rabbit hunting mostly however i am in need of a new shotgun, money really isn't a problem so what are the best brands you recommend based on experience? Where do you recommend me to buy from? One more question what do you think about hunting bows, i am also interested in getting a hunting bow just for goofing around so i prefer would prefer a cheap bow.
Hunting
When it comes to bows.
There are recurve and compound.
People usually do target practice with recurve bow but one can do target practice with compound as well.
For hunting you will have to go with compound bow. The main difference between the compound and recurve is that when you pull the bow to the maximum the ball thingy on top and bottom will decrease the required force to keep the bow pulled by like 40%. So you can aim more easily etc... Plus pulling the bow is no easy task, it take a lot of practice and your hands/body should be strong enough.
If my memory serves me well, the recurve and compound have different pulling techniques. With recurve, the string should touch the tip of your nose and going down to the middle of your mouth and chin. While with compound the string should rest on your cheek near your mouth ( i guess).
You can't do target practice with your hunting bow because the arrow will break most of the time, due to the high speed force.

If am not mistaken there is a place in Bourj Hammoud called "Shogun" that should sell them, you can find bows in sport shops and weapons shops... The sport shop in Le Mall Debayeh "Decathlon" has some bows, but I wasn't impressed by the bows... note that there is another type of bows that is called longbow you should stay away from longbow because the arrow doesn't have a resting place and nor does it contain any form of aiming, unlike recurve and compound which both support arrow resting and some aiming tool (that is far from perfect ) because how you aim will depend on how much you are far from the target...
You should expect to pay over $250 I think.
The strength of the bow is measured by lb , you should check that out before you buy a bow, for target pratice i guess one can go with 35lb-40lb with hunting maybe 45lb-60lb, you should be able to kill a bear with 60lb :P

people have recommened the beretta A400 extreme unico. Do you have any feedback on it, do you own a shotgun if so what brand,do you like it and if you were to choose for yourself what would you choose? Sound like a job interview :Pport80 wroteBerettas are always the best gun for hunting.Just pay josons a visit and view his wide selection and see what suites you best.
I actually own several guns mostly Berettas I like to collect them but can't afford much.
I own:
Beretta AL391 urika (favorite gun 4 years old still shoots like new)
Beretta A300 Outlander Camo
Beretta DT11 (over-under for competitive shooting)
juxta-pose spanish Basque(worst one I have very heavy and uncomfortable)
And lastly the Beretta A400 extreme unico shoots like a dream but I try not to use it much since it wastes bullets so quickly but still an amazing gun.
I usually take both the A300 and A400 to the field and use them according to the situation.
