Hey,
I'm trying to take care of my laptop by having the fan cleaned up every few months, but ever since the warranty expired i have been taking it to a shop that usually charge me 50$. Do you guys think it's a fair price?( i have the HP Pavilion dv3100)
If not, can you recommend a better place, preferably between Beirut and Jounieh.

I found a youtube video how to do it, but it required disassembling the whole laptop, so i though its better keep it in hand of an expert.
Thank you.
Expert? LOL.

Cleaning a fan for $50 is definitely not a good price. Best to do it yourself. It's not hard.

You don't even need to disassemble. You can just use a blower and blow the dust out every once in a while. Disassemble if you want to change the thermal paste; THAT'S where a permanent reduction in temperatures comes from.
yeah, just buy a can of compressed air and use that if you don't have a leaf blower or something like that
Yes you can just use compressed air for a while then after 6 or 7 months have the whole thing cleaned by someone you trust. Never EVER! take it to shops/companies. These guys don't follow the disassembly guides provided from the manufacturer and play with the thing in a very bad way. I can tell you right now that you probably have missing screws on the bottom. Also the Thermal-paste which they use is horrible. It's the cheapest thermal paste they can find.
Could you guys suggest a good thermal paste, and where i can find it in lebanon ?

Regular thermal paste is so hard to find in Lebanon. They don't sell good quality thermal paste (or anything else for that matter) here.
Thank you for your answer avok95
Do you know where i can get the normal thermal paste in lebanon , i am planning to change it in my laptop as it is overheating. ( HP dv6 3300ee ).

Don't use regular paste, they'll cause it to overheat even more. drop by with the board and the heatsink and I'll gladly apply some paste for you. I PM'd you some minor details too :)
use some toothpaste , tried it before several times in Congo( i couldn't find any thermal paste anywhere , if you plan to clean every 3-4 months it will do wonders ) also taking a part a laptop several times take tolls on the hinge, plastics, tiny screws, etc
