  • Penguin Biscuits in Beirut

The other day I remembered a really awesome chocolate that used to exist in many shops in Beirut so many years ago(more than 10 I guess) its called penguin. But it seems like it can no more be found anywhere.

I did some search online and on one Lebanese blog someone mentioned that 24/7 in Hamra has it, I went there yesterday but they said they no more sell it. Do you remember this awesome chocolate? Have you come across it anywhere recently? Would love to know if there is any place left that sells them in Lebanon.

They are produced by United Biscuits' (McVitie's UK). According the website the product is still manufactured.
Update: They don't have any left atm. They asked me to check back soon.
@enthralled thanks for the update! A friend of mine pointed out that spinneys might have them so I'll check next week and confirm.
Whaa!!! The single most awesomest tastiest rainbow puking explosive chocolate biscuits of my childhood! haha! you guys remember when they made them into ice cream too? never could get enough of that stuff :D

Turned out that Spinneys has them too(Check the one in Achrafieh). But the weird part is that penguinbiscuits.com replied to my email a couple of days ago, in which I asked them if they ship to Lebanon, and said that they don't.
lol... I remember they had this competition where you had to collect different penguin stickers to win a prize or something... the hardest one to get by was the "champion" penguin.
