Hey guys,
I am building a Rig for general purpose gaming and some Virtual Labs
Already have:
Proc: Intel 3770k
Cooler: Cooler Master CPU COOLER HYPER TX3 EVO (didn't have the stock cooler so just bought a replacement for the Stock)
Motherboard: AsRock z77 Exterme 6
GFX: club3d 7850 Royal King
PSU: Cooler Master GX 550w
I still need to get the below pats:
Case (already have PSU)
Monitor
I am looking for a 100$ Budget case and I was thinking between:
ThermalTake VO30001N2N Level 10GTS Link $99.00 OR
ThermalTake VM400M1W2Z V9 BlacX Edition W/Dual Bay EasySwap HDD Docking Station & USB 3.0 Connectors + Side Panel -Link $104.00
Monitor: what I was hoping for was a 150$ Budget and get a Full HD + HDMI input options, I haven't found any model which are in the price range of 150 with HDMI, so I am leaning towards the below Samsung.
Samsung SM2233RZ Wide 22" LCD 3D ready $142.00
Thanks for taking the time out to read and give your input.

I can give you my personal review of the V9 case since I had it for a good while before shifting to my Cosmos II, It is a nice case, I personally liked the design but it has one huge flaw. Cable management is a nightmare, and considering the thing has a window it will look horrible. You just cannot have a proper tidy system with this case, its just impossible. If i might say, it is the worse case I ever owned when it comes to cable management. But that's about it, if it fits your needs when it comes to drive bay availability and cooling then i can tell you it has good build quality (compared to other Thermaltake cases that i saw anyway) and its a nice case.
As for the monitor, since u have a 150$ budget, then i recommend this:
LG IPS224T Wide 21.5" LED Full HD / Wide Viewing Angle $149.00
chassis
If you are willing to squeeze your case budget a bit get the armor A60 for 116$ or the armor A90 for 117$.....trust me i was exactly in your shoes not so long ago and i searched A LOT!! for a good case in the 100$ region and these are definitely the best followed by the v9 gaming and the rest....as for the monitor you can get the LG e2241 full hd 21.5''... i got it around 6 month ago for 135$
chassis
i would like to add that these are the final prices plus vat....while the v9 for 104$ is without 10%vat which totals at about 111$

from where did you get the prices for the A90 cant see them on pcandparts

in some aspects they are better than pcandparts.....they trade blows with pcandparts in prices and they do have a very wide selection of products( cases ,motherboards...)

nice, after reading reviews and product descriptions I am leaning towards the Level 10GTS and LG IPS224T. both seems relatively good value for budget.
d3ad
apparently the LG IPS224T at PC and Parts is Actually the LG IPS224T - PN which does not have a HDMI :s
Chassis from where did you buy the LG e2241

I have tried the LG IPS234T. It's an e-IPS panel. While e-IPS is nowhere near true IPS, it still looks somewhat nicer than TN, particularly with the better viewing angles and the unit I tried had more accurate colors out of the box.
d3ad, if you care about viewing angles, then try to aim for the IPS224T/234T. Even if they don't have HDMI input, I suppose you could use a switching device. You might want to search for such a device before since cheap ones might fail rather quickly. Since we have a limited monitor selection here, I advise looking for the proper monitor in terms of color quality, viewing angles, and such, then solving the connectivity issues that it might be facing.
The LG e2241 and SM2233RZ are both TN panels. The latter is 1680x1050, not Full HD.

yasamoka, leaving pre-requisites which monitor would you suggest in the 150$ budget for gaming in mind.
yasamoka
The LG IPS234T.

Thanks mate, As the LG IPS234T isnt available ill just go with the LG IPS224T, the only difference is one inch of screen :)

Works, but if you can find the IPS234T in stock elsewhere, it would be great. That one inch DOES make a difference, as you might notice.
